[Bug 2070295] [NEW] Color profiles not applied system-wide x11
Public bug reported: I have Dell XPS 17 9700 Color profiles not applied system-wide x11 Ubuntu 24.04 fresh installation or live When selecting ICC profile in Settings->Color only a few applied for example: Test Blue Everything else don't have any effect on the screen I've traced that only ICC profiles that have VCGT tag are affecting output. Live Ubuntu 22.04.4 works and I can see the change if I select: Test Swapped Green and Red colors Interesting thing that same live boot on Acer Swift 1 doesn't allow to change output profiles ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2070295 Title: Color profiles not applied system-wide x11 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2070295/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1924685] Re: No sound output/input available after installing 21.04
I've connected USB sound card "Sound Blaster Play! 3" and Headset Microphone works just great. So headset microphone on XPS 9700 doesn't work due problem with drivers. I suspect that Dell put some non standard solution for switching between Internal Microphone and Headset Microphone because when I deleted from Windows 10 external utility called Max Audio Windows stopped switching to headset microphone whenever I plug headphones even when I select it manually. After reinstall of Max Audio it started to work as expected. Does anyone have clue to this annoying problem with Headset Microphone? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1924685 Title: No sound output/input available after installing 21.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1924685/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1924685] Re: No sound output/input available after installing 21.04
Thanks Herczeg Zsolt. I was able to compile latest kernel with those settings and it works for my Dell XPS 9700. Except for the headset microphone. [Bug 1912673] Re: sounds not working on Dell XPS 17 (9700)
I've checked kernel configs for Arch, Redhat and Debian. And I suspect that only thing is missing to make it work is following kernel config option: CONFIG_SND_SOC_INTEL_SOUNDWIRE_SOF_MACH=m -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1912673 Title: sounds not working on Dell XPS 17 (9700) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-ucm-conf/+bug/1912673/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1805203] Re: libcurl3-gnutls in cosmic breaks git with Azure DevOps
Faced same issue and solved by downgrading. To avoid upgrade of package and adding bionic-security to sources list One can do: 1. Manually download package from https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/libcurl3-gnutls 2. Install libcurl3-gnutls with dpkg -i libcurl3-gnutls*.deb 3. Lock package version with apt-mark hold libcurl3-gnutls 4. Once update will be pushed just unlock package with apt-mark unhold libcurl3-gnutls -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1805203 Title: libcurl3-gnutls in cosmic breaks git with Azure DevOps To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/curl/+bug/1805203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
