[Bug 1904568] [NEW] Noise on screen while using

2020-11-17 Thread Mohammad Kazemi
Public bug reported:

When I'm using my laptop, I sometimes see some noises on screen. they're mostly
horizontal noise lines in panels (but sometimes on other parts). I attached a
picture of the problem.
I use Kubuntu 20.10. The problem is present when I connect my laptop to
external screen (so it's not monitor's problem).

[Bug 1899361] Re: udisk prevent disk from standby, standby timer is broken

2020-10-13 Thread Mohammad Kazemi
I'm using smartmontools to check my drive every 30 minutes. It has an option to
don't check if the drive is standby. Can't they at least do the same?
And I had a question. Why does udisks checks smart data? Is it going to notify
me if there's a problem, or ... ?

P.S. My hard drive model number is TOSHIBA MQ04ABF100

[Bug 1891510] [NEW] Advanced power management value doesn't change on power

2020-08-13 Thread Mohammad Kazemi
Public bug reported:

I recently edited /etc/hdparm.conf file to and set two different values for AMP
level. One is "apm_battery = 128" when using battery and "apm = 255" when it's
plugged to charger.
But it seems this setting is only checked when system is starting and when I
unplug charger, it can't distinguish and the value of `hdparm -B /dev/sda`
doesn't change.
I don't know if it's a bug or not. But it should probably work.
