I'm on Ubuntu 11.10 and using Core i7 2670QM. Suddenly from today this
kind of issue has started. But it's little different.

Sometimes it shows 8 cores and sometimes just 1. I don't need to reboot
the system. this happens at random interval. The system is updated till
date. (Updated in the afternoon to be specific and seen this issue since
evening).

What logs should I attach?
