2009-11-18 Thread Murdock
I tried, just to test, to update my E156G dongle with the E160G firmware update
tool with no luck.
Still waiting for a firmware for E156G and/or a kernel patch, whatever comes
first.

Note: It works nice with ubuntu 9.04 and factory firmware.

My E156G still doesn't works with proposed kernel.
lsusb shows it as a E220/E270, but I can't update the firmware with the E220
update tool, it fails showing that the device was not found.

Still using 9.04...

@Matin Wildam

My provider doesn't offer any type of drivers/firmware support. I didn't find
any upgrade tool for my E156G on the internet.
Please, can you send me your E160G upgrade tool just to test at mjrackham at
gmail dot com? Thank you

Re: [Bug 413884] Re: some posts on boards do not have Next / previousnavigation

2009-08-16 Thread Jerry Murdock
OK
For a quick check, I ran Firefox in safe mode which, as I understand
it disables all extensions. The navigation links were still missing.
I went to profile manager and added a new profile. Upon startup, the
links were available, BUT I think that is because no cookies were stored
for that profile. I added Xmarks to bring in my bookmarks and
passwords from the server, then the links disappeared. I disabled
Xmarks, but the links did not come back.
I have just rebooted to Windows XP on which I have Firefox 3.5.2.
I have the same bug here. That begins to look like the problem may NOT
be Firefox at all
I tried the same board in Internet Explorer the problem exists there
as well, so I was entirely wrong in blaming Firefox.
Since the bug exists in Firefox 3.0, Firefox 3.5, IE8.0, and both
Ubuntu XP, I could be wrong, but I would guess it is related to
Javascript.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can
become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this
with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to
delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to
disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the
 problematic one.

[Bug 413884] [NEW] some posts on boards do not have Next / previous navigation

2009-08-14 Thread Jerry Murdock
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Ubuntu 9.04
Firefox 3.0.13
looking at the discussion board here:
http://community.cnhi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/15910266/m/6091008091
There is no previous topic | next topic hyperlink at the bottom of the page
The interesting thing about it is that this is a page I hadn't viewed before.
The hyperlink DOES appear on pages I have viewed previously.

The same thing happens on this board:
http://forums.military.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/415197802/m/9140022032001/inc/1
that is, threads on which there are NO new posts provide navigation, but those
on which there are posts I have not read have no link to adjacent threads.

[Bug 16575] Re: Cannot create samba user with kcontrol samba module

2009-02-03 Thread murdock
Hello!

I am running 3.5.10 and the error still exists. Since version 3.5.10
has been determined to be the final version, does this mean that this
bug will not be dealt with anymore in KDE 3 and I should begin
implementing KDE4?

Thanks,
Murdock

I find this attitude disturbing. Ubuntu leadership has committed to the
LSB, so it *should* be important for you. And the suggestion that this

ridiculous. -ian
