[Bug 687375] [NEW] Empathy Does save yahoo aliases, but doesn't show them in them in the buddies list.
Public bug reported: There are several bug reports around about Empathy not saving the aliases for Yahoo, but what I'm seeing is that it actually has saved them (somewhere) because when I open the chat windows it shows the edited aliases, but it is just in the buddies list* that it only shows the Yahoo id. So I don't know how related, different, or identical this is to previous reports, but it doesn't seem to be exactly the same because of what is mentioned in those reports - about there not being an API to save the info, since it appears it is saved (somewhere). Maybe if I logged into Yahoo somewhere else it wouldn't be saved? So this bug report is basically that - if it can show them in the chat window, perhaps it can/should be showing them in the list - even if it didn't saved back to Yahoo, that perhaps is not possible. * I don't know this is called in Empathy because my computer is in Japanese, but hopefully you know what I mean. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/687375 Title: Empathy Does save yahoo aliases, but doesn't show them in them in the buddies list. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 252144] Re: Alt-tab causes keyboard lockup
Hi. I have this problem in 10.10. No FireFox, SCIM 1.4.9, installed from maverick repos. Alt+tab between Gnome Terminals is fine. Alt+tab between a Gnome Terminal and Gedit locks up the terminal every time. Alt+Tab between a Terminal and Chrome likewise. This has been the case across reboots over the two days since I installed scim. Yesterday I had Chrome and Gedit lock up Alt+tab-ing to them, though I can't make it do that right now. [Bug 296934] Re: gpsca don't work properly in my webcam creative nx ultra, its on, but doesn't work
I don't know if this is the same issue, but... My webcam worked in 8.04. Now I've upgraded to 9.04 and it doesn't work. lsusb shows 041e:4034 Creative Technology, Ltd WebCam Instan, and /dev/video0 exists when the camera is plugged in. Skype says no devices found. Camorama shows a black image with some interference like lines across it and says unable to capture image. Adobe Flash Player 10 shows an image that looks like a corrupted image file. So it's trying to work, it knows the camera is there, but something is not quite right. -- gpsca don't work properly in my webcam creative nx ultra, its on, but doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/296934 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 351628] Re: [jaunty] NetworkManager widget doesn't save connection data
I'm seeing something slightly different, but probably related. Right clicking the widget and selecting Manage Connections... it has the information for the two wifi connections I use, the password has been saved, and clicking Show password I can see it is correct, but the Key Type is Passphrase instead of Hex Key. If I set it to Hex Key, OK, then Edit again it has not been saved and again is set to Passphrase. The net affect is that whenever it tries to connect to one of these connections it fails and pops up the dialog asking for the password again - so every time I connect to a wifi connection I have to retype the password. Hope this little extra info is of some use. Cheers. -- [jaunty] NetworkManager widget doesn't save connection data https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/351628 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 246791] [NEW] when unplugging the sleep after x minutes on battery is activated inappropriately
Public bug reported: In the Power Manager I have "Battery Powered: When the system is idle for more than 15 minutes: Sleep" setting set. And when it's mains powered do nothing. So when the computer has been idle on battery for more than fifteen minutes I come along and unplug it to take it away to use in the living room for example, and so it now thinks it's on battery power and has been idle for more than fifteen minutes, so it goes to sleep. So the problem being simply that if I'm unplugging it I'm there and probably going to use it so it's inappropriate to sleep. So I'm thinking the timer for the idle time on battery needs to start when the computer starts being on battery, and not before, so that it doesn't have this odd behavior. So it's just a small issue. Cheers. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- when unplugging the sleep after x minutes on battery is activated inappropriately https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246791 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
