Hello Chris, As i have say, you have take the good decision to close with little problem. But, I don't think this problem is invalid , this problem seems corrected but has existed. So i think the status must be Fix Released and not Invalid. Even this problem was shortly corrected, on the root servers or on the mirror. It can be interessant to save this to make statistics and to consequently to correct the process which have create it. And if this desync is an exception, i think this is a bad idea to make as this isn't exist. So this decision must be take by the launchpad team, i let you choice. Even use apt-get update, this cannot work, when in create this bug. I found the solution to install the package with aptitude which proposed to downgrade the openssh-client package. But, now, the new version is avalaible : openssh-server 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu5. So i think you can close the bug.
