[Bug 1325463] Re: segfault while realmd-join

2014-06-16 Thread Niklas Andersson
I am doing testing and I haven't seen the segfault, so I would say that
it works. One worry is that I tried to reproduce the earlier segfault
using the current version, and it worked there as well. I am currently
doing more extensive testing this week.

Regards,
Niklas

This problems is identified and corrected by upstream developer Stef

[Bug 1048338] [NEW] samba4-common-bind does not include libauth4.so

2012-09-09 Thread Niklas Andersson
Public bug reported:

I wanted samba-tool to do a domain join from a client and installed
samba-common-bin. Package installed nicely.

When I tried to run samba-tool I got:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File /usr/bin/samba-tool, line 26, in module
from samba.netcmd.main import cmd_sambatool
  File /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/samba/netcmd/main.py, line 21, in
module
from samba.netcmd.dbcheck import cmd_dbcheck
  File /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/samba/netcmd/dbcheck.py, line 21, in
module
from samba.auth import system_session
ImportError: libauth4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

Looks like a dependency is missing.

dlocate from my DC tells me that libdcerpc-server0 should be the missing
candidate:

libdcerpc-server0:amd64: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba/libauth4.so

[Bug 1023069] [NEW] Packages was corrupt

2012-07-10 Thread Niklas Andersson
Public bug reported:

Doing unattended kickstart-installation and during install I get a red
screen with Warning: http:///ubuntu/dists/precise/restricted
/binary-amd64/Packages was corrupt.

I have to click Continue to go on.

The file in question (Packages.gz) is only 20 bytes bit, same file on
ubuntu-12.04-desktop is a couple of kilobytes, that looks more
reasonable. zcat Packages reports no problem though. It looks like an
empty .gz-file.

There is nothing problem with my download. My downloaded iso has md5
9fcc322536575dda5879c279f0b142d7 just as it shold be.

Either there is a problem with Packages.gz that should have some
content, or it is a problem with the installer that detects an empty
.gz-file as corrupt. Anyways - it's a bug.

[Bug 640257] Re: Keyboard shortcuts doesn't work in Gnome Menu

2010-09-22 Thread Niklas Andersson
The thing is if you do:

alt-F1
arrow down
g
g

...you get the wanted result. Its related to how key strokes are
interpreted within the gnome menu. If you do:

alt-F1
s

..you'll get the System menu instead of Sound and Video. System is
wrong. Sound and Video is right.

[Bug 353186] Re: Can't define primary screen in dual screen setup

2009-04-21 Thread Niklas Andersson
1. In a dual-screen setup you have two screens

2. One screen presents the gnome-panel ( primary screen) - the other is
not.

3. There is no way in gnome-display-settings to define what screen where
to display the panel.

Reproducible? Yes

In my case gnome-panel is displayed on the smaller laptop-screen. I have
no way to change that.

When it first occurred? When upgrading to Jaunty gnome-panel suddenly
switched screens.

There must be a way to define this in a multi-screen-setup. =2 screens
that is.

[Bug 353186] [NEW] Can't define primary screen in dual screen setup

2009-04-01 Thread Niklas Andersson
Public bug reported:

When in gnome-display-properties I can't define which screen is the
primary. I have a dual screen setup. Laptop + external 22 LG. Before
upgrading to Jaunty when plugged in my 22 was the primary screen, just
as I wanted.

After upgrading, the laptop is suddenly the primary screen and I can't
change it. Not in gnome-display-properties nor in grandr.

There has to be an option in gnome-display-properties where you can
choose what screen to display the gnome-panel.

[Bug 271676] [NEW] nvidia-settings doesn't keep multi-screen configuration on reboot

2008-09-18 Thread Niklas Andersson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nvidia-settings

Every time I start the machine I have to reconfigure the dualscreen
option. I'm on Nvidia and using nvidia-settings 173.14.09-1ubuntu3.

The quit-button is supposed to write the configuration to ~/.nvidia-
settings-rc but I'm not sure weather this is happening. As far as I can
see. There is no dual screen in this file - even though I configured
one.

[Bug 157090] Re: Initial keys in Gnome-menu doesn't work

2008-09-17 Thread Niklas Andersson
Still an issue as in Intrepid Ibex Alpha 5 with Gnome 2.24 beta 2.

Try to go to the Graphics menu for example by typing alt+F1 and
then press G as in Grahics - the highlighted menu doesn't move.

This is standard practise and it should work.

[Bug 157090] Initial keys in Gnome-menu doesn't work

2007-10-25 Thread Niklas Andersson
Public bug reported:

Wanted result: Open Gimp by using only the keyboard, without letting go of
the standard keyboard-stance, asdfjklö.
What happens: I Open the meny with alt-F1, but there I'm stuck. The g-key
doesn't respond
Reproducable: Yes
Platform specific: No

Ok, in Windows I use the super-key to launch the menu. In Gnome/KDE I
can live with the alt-F1shortcut, but when I want to stop down to
Graphics I hit the g-key and nothing happens, the highligthed
alternative doesn't jump down to Games, (and of course neither after
another keystroke to Graphics).

BUT when I in this mode hit s as in System - I then change the menu
to System and THERE I can navigate through the menu-options by
pressing the a-key repeatedly I choose between Administration,
About Gnome and About Ubuntu.

I think this is a usabilityproblem that should be solved - we shoudn't
force the users to use the arrow keys when it could be done otherwise
(and more correct)
