I believe that my problem is also connected to PackageKit, that was once installed and removed (apparently impropriately). I have this bug lately in Hardy, and it was not fixed when I upgraded to Intrepid Beta. Re: [Bug 240500] Re: brasero - error in burning audio files
Hi Pedro, My wife wrote this bug-report and I failed to understand it from her description, even though I was there when it happened :-) So I believe you were not following either. I will try to rephrase. She was trying to write an audio disk couple of times. First time, she filled the 80 minutes (and not more), than started to burn, at some point she got an error message that the size is too big and in consequence the burn failed. Apparently the image size was 760MB instead of less than 700MB. Second time, she decided to try with less songs, 70 minutes instead of 80. Now the size was less than 700MB which is Ok, and the burning process ended succesfully. But, when she tried to listen to the songs with Totem, they appeared in the list but unplayable. Third time, we decided that there is something wrong with Brasero, and went to burn with k3b. k3b was also stating that the image size is 760MB, but surprisingly the burning process completed successfully, and all the songs were playable, so I started to think that the 760MB number is just a bad calculation and the real size is inside the limit. So I believe we found 2 separate bugs in Brasero, 1. Wrong calculation of the image size for some reason. (bug is shared with k3b, but k3b finishes the burn while Brasero stops) 2. One burn that failed. Unplayable songs in the Disk. I can try to reproduce the bugs, but which one of them ? (I already ruined 2 disks) Thanks for listening. Nir. 2008/6/17, Pedro Villavicencio [EMAIL PROTECTED]: thanks for your report, can you get a brasero log? please run brasero as: brasero --debug brasero-log.txt and repeat the action you did it to get the bug, and later on attach the file to the report, thanks in advance!. ** Changed in: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New = Incomplete -- brasero - error in burning audio files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240500 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. ** Attachment added: unnamed http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15388684/unnamed -- brasero - error in burning audio files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240500 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have also the error : /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off no more verbose than that. The difference is that I get this error also in 2.6.17-7-generic and also in 2.6.17-6-686 which was previously booting Ok. -- Kernel 2.6.17-7-generic fails to boot, I get the BusyBox instead https://launchpad.net/bugs/59792 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
