not to sound annoying, and I understand the freeze but I don't think a kernel panic should make it into a stable release, you know. of course, it made it into the stable kernel release... btw, fyi the bug seems to me related to the mac80211 stack, I'll try to do further tests and if I'll ever come to a solution (which will probably involve downgrading part of the kernel) I'll let you know. bye -- wireless network disconnects and do not reconnect until rebooting (kernels 2.6.22, 2.6.24 on 7.10 and 8.04) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154849 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Could e.vacchi explain what API is and how to fix it, bearing in mind the 'live' cd and also a fresh install of Hardy-a6 has the same problem. Hi Cushie, I'm sorry, what I meant to say is just that the kernel devs (not ubuntu devs) have broken the driver because they changed something in the internals of the kernel itself. If this were true it would mean there isn't unfortunately an easy solution to fix the problem, apart from trying to use the windows driver via ndiswrapper; but I can't assure it would work, and probably it isn't a thing you can try on the live cd with ease. bye -- Ralink rt2400 / rt2500 / rt2570 / rt61 / rt73 do not work out of the box in Gutsy/Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134660 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
