Still the same problem except only the normal pointer is contextual.
The other one stays as it was before the rotation.

[Bug 1218973] Re: [Dell XPS 12-9Q33] Touchpad not recognized

2014-06-18 Thread Olivier Berten
There was indeed a regression between 3.13.0-26 and 3.13.0-27. And
between 3.13.0-28 and 3.13.0-29 if you've installed AceLan's 3.13.0-28
kernel.

By the way, the bug hasn't been fixed yet in the official kernel, but
it's been taken care of. See

I was just going to say the same. Left and right click at the bottom of
the trackpad don't work anymore. It's easy to replace but it's
surprising when you couldn't use double finger gestures for a while ;-)

Isn't the aim of a RC to be tested? If it can't be installed, it's
pretty hard to test it... so it isn't such a low importance issue...

[Bug 839407] Re: gnome-font-viewer missing in oneiric

2011-09-07 Thread Olivier Berten
I have KFontView installed but it loads much slower on Gnome and it
doesn't show the font informations (description, copyright, version,
...). On the other hand, it allows you to see all characters which is
sometimes useful too. That's why I have both installed.

That made the trick! Thanks a lot :-)

But I won't consider that bug as fixed since I would need to do this
every time I want to print on another paper size. This should be
automatic.

[Bug 488344] [NEW] QFileDialog doesn't return selectedFilter

2009-11-25 Thread Olivier Berten
Public bug reported:

With Karmic under Gnome (UNR) on my netbook, with this code (from
SwatchBooker http://www.selapa.net/swatchbooker/) filetype stays
empty.

filetype = QString()
fname = unicode(QFileDialog.getSaveFileName(self,
SwatchBooker - Save file,
fname,

;;.join(filetypes.keys()),filetype))

The strange thing is that with exactly the same versions (libqtgui4
4.5.3really4.5.2-0ubuntu1, python-qt4 4.6-1, python 2.6.4-0ubuntu2) on
my laptop I don't have any problem. And the strangest thing is that with
my netbook under KDE, it also works as expected...

[Bug 432105] [NEW] QFileDialog::getSaveFileName buggy in Qt 4.5.0

2009-09-17 Thread Olivier Berten
Public bug reported:

This has been solved in next versions.
I know this isn't exactly an Ubuntu bug but since Qt 4.5.0 is the default
version on Jaunty, it creates problems with my app

[Bug 430711] [NEW] [Karmic] no sound with the default config (HDA-Intel)

2009-09-16 Thread Olivier Berten
Public bug reported:

This might be a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/alsa-driver/+bug/421047 but I don't have enough informations to be
sure...

Sound was working fine in Jaunty. I updated to Karmic around Alpha 3,
and sound stopped working until I changed permissions for using audio.
Then a few updates later, it stopped working again and I'm still in the
same situation.

Interesting thing to note: the sound preference applet show no sound
card into the hardware list and I don't have any sound with the default
config, i.e. in apps where I can't change the audio output.

But I can have sound with SMPlayer if I set the output to alsa (0.0 -
HDA Intel) (default alsa doesn't work) and with VLC with any alsa
output (HDA Intel: ALC861-VD Analog (hw:0,0) or HDA Intel: Si3054
Modem (hw:0,6)) specified. Again, the default alsa output doesn't work.

2007-07-05 Thread Olivier Berten
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libc6

Some charsets aren't available in the Ubuntu version of libiconv. For
instance, most of the mac encodings that are included when I compile the
source are unavailable on the Ubuntu version.

** Affects: glibc (Ubuntu)

Actually there seems to be more encodings in the Ubuntu version but we
still miss the mac encodings.
