[Bug 1960679] Re: Dekstop icon extension can't handle moving icons to a to-be-empty spot
After further investigation... it doesn't seem to be exactly what i thought it was. It seems to be that when dragging around the lowest icon in the selection everything else keeps getting a bigger gap between the dragged icon and itself and that's why I thought the top icon remained in place when dragging the bottom icon to a lower position... it just happened to gain a gap that put it in it's previous position -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960679 Title: Dekstop icon extension can't handle moving icons to a to-be-empty spot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng/+bug/1960679/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1960679] [NEW] Dekstop icon extension can't handle moving icons to a to-be-empty spot
Public bug reported: You can easily test this by setting up 2 or more icons on the desktop in any way then moving them in such a way that one of the icons will be moved to the spot where another icon currently is, but that other icon is also being moved by the same action to another empty spot. Behaviour: icons that are moved to the spot described above will stay in place Note: it has to do with the order the icons are moved so if you try moving icon 1 where icon 2 currently is and they are both moved correctly, try to move them so that icon 2 is moved where icon 1 is and it will have issues Ubuntu 21.10 Extension 20-0ubuntu3 ** Affects: gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960679 Title: Dekstop icon extension can't handle moving icons to a to-be-empty spot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng/+bug/1960679/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1677261] Re: no lock screen with external display
Yes, although the lid is already closed. It happens when you have multiple screens The order like the following: 1) Close the lid --> open apps are shown in the second screen 2) Remove the cable of the 2nd screen ---> apps return back to the 1st screen, although the lid is already closed The only way that the machine will suspend in this case, is when we reach the time limit of Automatic suspend -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1677261 Title: no lock screen with external display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1677261/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1677261] [NEW] no lock screen with external display
Public bug reported: I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 and my laptop is connected to an external display. When I close my lid, all my open apps are transferred to the external screen. However if I removed the display cable at this time then opened the lid, there will be no logging screen and my password won't be requested. My default behaviour is to suspend when the lid is closed but in presence of an external display then removing the cable, the OS can't detect that the lid is already closed. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1677261 Title: no lock screen with external display To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1677261/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1591695] Re: libvirt-guest.sh will never sucessfully shutdown more than one virtual machine in my setup
Another patch release 1.3.1-1ubuntu10.3, broke my setup yet again. I would not complain that much but in my combined XEN + ZFS setup this prevents the system from shutting down. It just hangs because the xen block backends obviously don't get released if the VMs don't shut down. I also have to say that I am worried about the xen:/// discussion. If it's about moving the actual hypervisor URI somwhere else then fine but if you remove xen handling than please state how shutdown should be done using other packages. So I saw my patch is not good enough to be incorporated into the latest bug fix release libvirt (1.3.1-1ubuntu10.2). Perhaps we should have a discussion about it then. [Bug 1591695] [NEW] libvirt-guest.sh will never sucessfully shutdown more than one virtual machine in my setup
Public bug reported: In function list list_guests() al list of running guests for some uri is produced which now looks like xen:/// uuid uuid uuid A list like this is processed as if the 2nd uuid etc. are uris. [Bug 1577018] Re: Kernel crashes on dom0 startup when dom0_mem is set if BIOS is buggy (e. g. GA-78LMT-USB3 Rev 5.0 BIOS FA)
Changed Mainboard to some ASUS. GA-78LMT-USB3 Rev 5.0 BIOS FA) ** Description changed: Description: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Release: 16.04 linux-image-generic: Installiert: 4.4.0.21.22 Installationskandidat: 4.4.0.21.22 Versionstabelle: *** 4.4.0.21.22 500 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status I would expect the system to boot up like it did before I upgraded to xenial When I try to boot my virtual machine host using a xenial based Xen system (Xen 4.6, linux generic 4.4.0) it crashes immediately. My system setup is non standard as I tried to fix the dom0 memory using dom0_mem. This is due to this FAQ entry: http://zfsonlinux.org/faq.html#CanIRunZFSForXenHypervisor . I use ZFS for virutal machine disks and other storage. The systems bios is not updated by manufacturer anymore (2013). The on board graphics card is used. Shared graphics memory is set to auto. Setting it to 128 MB didn't change anything. Using a wily kernel 4.2.0 generic or a 4.1.22 mainline kernel works. Using a mainline kernel 4.4.8 or 4.5.2 also crashes. A quick google search using the first crash report line leads to this https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/8/19/366 and this http://code.metager.de/source/history/linux/stable/arch/x86/xen/ I checked that the two patches that seem most relevant here are present in the ubuntu kernel. Workaround is to not force a particular amount of memory for dom0 (delete dom0_mem parameter) --- ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: vmadmin8784 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: vmadmin8784 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: MATE DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=3352f7fa-317a-4ffc-8890-b1c7e45d183c InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-06-27 (309 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-MATE 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422.1) MachineType: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. [Bug 1577018] Re: Kernel crashes on dom0 startup when dom0_mem is set
I'm pretty sure that most of the information I just added already are in the archive I attached to my original report. Was to creative I think. Just in case: This report was generated _after deleting the offending kernel command line_. The nature of this bug is that a kernel later than 4.2.0 just crashes _before being able to print anything_. This is all the log I can get: (XEN) Xen version 4.6.0 (Ubuntu 4.6.0-1ubuntu4) (stefan.ba...@canonical.com) (gcc (Ubuntu 5.3.1-9ubuntu1) 5.3.1 20160216) debug=n Fri Feb 19 11:37:10 UTC 2016 (XEN) Bootloader: GRUB 2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3 (XEN) Command line: placeholder dom0_mem=8G,min:8G,max:8G ucode=-1 loglvl=all guest_loglvl=all com1=115200,8n1,0x3f8,4 console=com1,vga (XEN) Video information: (XEN) VGA is text mode 80x25, font 8x16 (XEN) VBE/DDC methods: V2; EDID transfer time: 1 seconds (XEN) Disc information: (XEN) Found 9 MBR signatures (XEN) Found 6 EDD information structures (XEN) Xen-e820 RAM map: (XEN) - 00091c00 (usable) (XEN) 0009f800 - 000a (reserved) (XEN) 000f - 0010 (reserved) (XEN) 0010 - afdf (usable) (XEN) afdf - afdf3000 (ACPI NVS) (XEN) afdf3000 - afe0 (ACPI data) (XEN) afe0 - aff0 (reserved) (XEN) e000 - f000 (reserved) (XEN) fec0 - 0001 (reserved) (XEN) 0001 - 00082f00 (usable) (XEN) ACPI: RSDP 000F78E0, 0014 (r0 GBT ) (XEN) ACPI: RSDT AFDF3000, 0040 (r1 GBTGBTUACPI 42302E31 GBTU 1010101) (XEN) ACPI: FACP AFDF3080, 0074 (r1 GBTGBTUACPI 42302E31 GBTU 1010101) (XEN) ACPI: DSDT AFDF3100, 683B (r1 GBTGBTUACPI 1000 MSFT 300) (XEN) ACPI: FACS AFDF, 0040 (XEN) ACPI: MSDM AFDF9A00, 0055 (r3 GBTGBTUACPI 42302E31 GBTU 1010101) (XEN) ACPI: HPET AFDF9A80, 0038 (r1 GBTGBTUACPI 42302E31 GBTU 98) (XEN) ACPI: MCFG AFDF9AC0, 003C (r1 GBTGBTUACPI 42302E31 GBTU 1010101) (XEN) ACPI: TAMG AFDF9B00, 0022 (r1 GBTGBT B0 5455312E BG 101) (XEN) ACPI: APIC AFDF9940, 00BC (r1 GBTGBTUACPI 42302E31 GBTU 1010101) (XEN) ACPI: SSDT AFDF9BA0, 1714 (r1 AMDPOWERNOW1 AMD 1) (XEN) System RAM: 32237MB (33011204kB) (XEN) No NUMA configuration found (XEN) Faking a node at -00082f00 (XEN) Domain heap initialised (XEN) found SMP MP-table at 000f5ed0 (XEN) DMI 2.4 present. [Bug 1577018] Re: Kernel crashes on dom0 startup when dom0_mem is set
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected xenial ** Description changed: Description: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Release: 16.04 linux-image-generic: Installiert: 4.4.0.21.22 Installationskandidat: 4.4.0.21.22 Versionstabelle: *** 4.4.0.21.22 500 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status I would expect the system to boot up like it did before I upgraded to xenial When I try to boot my virtual machine host using a xenial based Xen system (Xen 4.6, linux generic 4.4.0) it crashes immediately. Workaround is to not force a particular amount of memory for dom0 (delete dom0_mem parameter) + --- + ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2 + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USERPID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: vmadmin8784 F pulseaudio + /dev/snd/controlC1: vmadmin8784 F pulseaudio + CurrentDesktop: MATE + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=3352f7fa-317a-4ffc-8890-b1c7e45d183c + InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-06-27 (309 days ago) + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-MATE 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422.1) + MachineType: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
