[Bug 433365] Re: WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.31/fs/buffer.c:1152 mark_buffer_dirty+0x70/0x90()
Same here on a Lenovo D10. I attached and detached an external USB drive and got the message. Stupid me, forgot to unmount, but I don't think this should happen. [Bug 465092] Re: PC Speaker can not be switched off in sound preferences
No difference after installing linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic (I presume you meant linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic and linux- backports-modules-alsa-2.6.31-14-generic as the indicated package can't be found). I had to remove my usb sound device to test things well and restoring back to the post install configuration I noticed that, although indicating to use the internal sound device in the sound preferences, sound actually gets routed through the now reattached usb sound device. Looks like thing are getting a bit confused in/over there. -- PC Speaker can not be switched off in sound preferences https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/465092 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 465092] [NEW] PC Speaker can not be switched off in sound preferences
Public bug reported: On my Lenovo D10 when reporting the sound hardware, among others, my Internal Audio is shown. When selecting this for sound output I hear music via my attached speakers and the internal PC speaker. I had the same problem in 9.04 but via sound preferences was able to switch off the PC speaker as a workaround. This option is no longer available, as far as I can see. I've been playing around with the old blacklisting hints for the modules but no success so far. They're blacklisted by default, but enabling them at least doesn't make a difference in the options for sound preferences. [Bug 304428] Re: Kernel Panic - High Volume Network Traffic using e1000e Intel Gigabit Ethernet
I think I'm encountering related problems with the e1000e. When running via wlan or hsdpa my laptop (Lenovo T61p) runs perfect all day, but when connected via ethernet it dies a few times a day. Different from the report though, also without much or any network traffic. In my case, it doesn't freeze, but just poeff dies; no shutdown, nothing. Looking at it, I had the idea (can't prove by any log or whatsoever) it had to do with the power status. I've migrated to 8.10 already and detection etc. goes fine there. Support for the T61p has improved in all areas. [Bug 235961] [NEW] Detection of graphics card fails after update on Lenovo t61p
Public bug reported: Running yesterdays updates (2008/05/29 appr 22:00 CET ) gave some errors on packages. Doing some manual cleanup finally got me my system back but my graphics card is no longer detected. I did a clean install 8.04 this morning and ran the proposed updates immediately. Everything finishes fine now, but the graphics are still undetected, dropping me into VESA. The machine is an Lenovo t61p with nvidia 570m. This is (was) supported by a propriety driver. I noticed a kernel update in the updates yesterday, but now the machine is on 2.6.24-16-generic again, where my other machine is on 2.6.24.17-generic. This puzzles me. Due to limited time, I haven't done any further investigation. I may be able to do some today.
