[Bug 1774150] Re: 3.13.0-149-generic: suspend/resume issue on 14.04

2018-07-27 Thread Peter Antoniac
I also confirm that the downgrade of the microcode helped. So the issue
seems to be with the intel-microcode version
3.20180425.1~ubuntu0.14.04.1. Version 2.20140122.1 seems to work well.
So the security-updates is the cause of all this trouble...

[Bug 1272314] [NEW] opencv-doc missing the PDFs

2014-01-24 Thread Peter Antoniac
Public bug reported:

The documentation files that are generated by installing python-sphinx
are missing. I suspect that is cause by the opencv cmake that now checks
if the python-sphinx is installed. Since there is no build-depend on it
(it wasn't needed earlier) then it just skips creating the PDFs.

How to reproduce:

*BEFORE* installing python-sphinx:
cmake ../path_to_opencv.git
[CUT]
-- Documentation:
-- Build Documentation: NO
-- Sphinx: NO
-- PdfLaTeX compiler: /usr/bin/pdflatex
[CUT]
*AFTER* installing python-sphinx:
[CUT]
-- Documentation:
-- Build Documentation: YES
-- Sphinx: /usr/bin/sphinx-build (ver Sphinx v1.1.3)
-- PdfLaTeX compiler: /usr/bin/pdflatex
[CUT]

Once installed, running make docs should build the pdfs correcly in doc/
opencv2manager.pdf
opencv2refman.pdf
opencv_cheatsheet.pdf
opencv_tutorials.pdf
opencv_user.pdf

This was valid in 2.4.5+dfsg-0ubuntu4

[Bug 1207712] Re: Upgrade wine to latest 1.6 release

2013-10-14 Thread Peter Antoniac
On the other hand, it looks like you migth need to do a new wineconfig
with the export WINEARCH=win32. My workaround was to move .wine to
.wine-64 (just in case you have something there that you want to
backup). Then, set the WINEARCH to win32 and run the winecfg to create
the new .wine. Alternatively, you can use export
WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.wine-32, then create a new .wine-32 configuration
when you run winecfg (to set your prefered version). Hope that this
helps...

[Bug 975327] Re: libhupnp 1.0.0, cagibi =0.2, kio-upnp-ms, all needed in repositories

2012-11-09 Thread Peter Antoniac
This is quite a nice thing to have. I could mark it under wishlist, but
considering that it is true that you have the upnp collection listed
under amarok and no kio-slave to answer it, I think it deserves
importance higher than wish...

[Bug 1069283] Re: Unable to log in

2012-10-23 Thread Peter Antoniac
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will
automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 1069283

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you
may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe
repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect
permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability
to Change Non-Private data as it will be adding information to your
bug report. Thanks in advance!

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the
appropriate application's Help - Report a Problem menu or using
'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more
about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

[Bug 630748] Re: iwlagn degrades quickly during normal wifi session

2012-01-02 Thread Peter Antoniac
I have tried all the options in the hope to get the speed stable. The
performance degrades slower if/when I had the:
options iwlagn swcrypto=1 ack_check=1

But to have it stable, I still use the 11n_disable=1

This issue we could celebrate it for the 3nd year. At least I never seen
the 11n working properly since 09.04.

Or, maybe I am missing something... I have: 02:00.0 Network controller:

[Bug 414458] Re: huawei e161 3.5g usb modem not working

2010-09-15 Thread Peter Antoniac
Another simple fix, for those that don't want to change the udev rules
(because they might be fixed on the next update) is to use those
commands:

sudo rmmod usb-storage
sudo rmmod option
sudo rmmod usbserial
sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0x1003

Hope it helps until a more standard update is coming...

Well, libdc
1394 is not linux1394... Raw1394 file permission is udev's rules job. You
can file the bug anyway, and I'll handle it from there.

Thanks,
