Public bug reported:
tried to purge and reinstall pulseaudio. When I try to start pulseaudio
I get the following message:
"Connection to PulseAudio failed. Automatic retry in 5 s
In this case this is likely because PULSE_SERVER in the Environment/X11 Root
Window Properties or default-server in client.conf is misconigured.
This situation can also arrise [sic] when PulseAudio crashed and left stale
details in the X11 Root Window. If this is the case, then PulseAudio should
autospawn again, of if this is not configured you should run
start-pulseaudio-x11 manually"
I have no idea what this means and what I should do.
