[Bug 979761] [NEW] maverick missing dependancy: libmono-i18n2.0-cil
Public bug reported: Just installed keepass2 (2.18+dfsg-1~ppa1~natty1) from Julian's PPA on my maverick desktop system. I then opened a backup of my password database from KeePassSD v2.15. Clicking on any entry in the password list generates the following error and keepass2 exits: System.NotSupportedException: CodePage 1252 not supported according to a forum thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=831409), the fix is to install an additional mono package: libmono-i18n2.0-cil This fix works for me. Might be a mono bug (#230396) rather than keepass2, feel free to close this if so. [Bug 327458] Re: [regression][intrepid] NFS mounts not attempted with idle network interface
Ah-ha - thanks for the pointer :) The problem has probably shifted to udev rules.. I tried booting without 'auto usb0' and without altering /etc/default/rcS: the NFS mount now works. Unfortunately this prevents the usb0 network interface being configured when I plug my USB network device in, due to the following in /etc/udev/rules.d/85-ifupdown.rules: # Bring devices up and down only if they're marked auto. # Use start-stop-daemon so we don't wait on dhcp ACTION==add, RUN+=/sbin/start-stop-daemon --start --background --pidfile /var/run/network/bogus --startas /sbin/ifup -- --allow auto $env{INTERFACE} ACTION==remove, RUN+=/sbin/start-stop-daemon --start --background --pidfile /var/run/network/bogus --startas /sbin/ifdown -- --allow auto $env{INTERFACE} Perhaps this should also bring interfaces up/down if they are marked as allow-hotplug? -- [regression][intrepid] NFS mounts not attempted with idle network interface https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 327458] [NEW] [regression][intrepid] NFS mounts not attempted with idle network interface
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: initscripts Ubuntu 8.10 initscripts version: 2.86.ds1-59ubuntu13 I have two network interfaces declared in /etc/network/interfaces as follows: # This file describes the network interfaces available on your system # and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5). # The loopback network interface auto lo iface lo inet loopback # The primary network interface auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp # USB network to OpenMoko phone auto usb0 allow-hotplug usb0 iface usb0 inet static address 192.168.1.200 netmask 255.255.255.0 I also have an NFS mount to my file server in /etc/fstab: # Timmy! 192.168.0.5:/home /media/timmy nfs defaults0 0 On hardy this worked as expected, and mounted the file server at boot. On intrepid this fails if my usb network is not connected (it usually isn't since it's my phone) as a result of the logic in /etc/network/if- up.d/mountnfs script, in particular the exit_unless_last_interface() function, which always exits the script. I can work around this regression by editing /etc/default/rcS and adding: ASYNCMOUNTNFS=no ..which forces the mountnfs script to ignore the state of network interfaces and attempt NFS mounts anyway. Since eth0 comes up pretty quickly this works for me, but may not for others. Suggested fix: make the mountnfs script more network intelligent, and *check if the server is reachable* rather than waiting for all auto interfaces to come up (which in my case they never do). ** Affects: sysvinit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [regression][intrepid] NFS mounts not attempted with idle network interface https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I've found an upstream bug reported with a similar issue: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=496007 sadly no responses there... -- [regression][intrepid] NFS mounts not attempted with idle network interface https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 323563] Re: [regression][intrepid][RV670] Radeon HD3870 blank screen
Disabling DRI using: Option DRI off in the Device section made no difference (as expected since there is no DRI support for my chipset yet). Note that the Option MonitorLayout TDMS, HDMI line in my uploaded xorg.conf was not present when the failure occurred, I had just tried that as a possible fix (without success). -- [regression][intrepid][RV670] Radeon HD3870 blank screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323563 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 323563] [NEW] [regression][intrepid][RV670] Radeon HD3870 blank screen
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-radeon Hi, I've just upgraded to intrepid from hardy, and my previously working HD3870/Dell 1905FP/radeon driver now fails with a blank screen. GDM is still starting (start sound checked process list from text tty), vesa driver works. Current xserver-xorg-video-radeon version: 1:6.9.0+git20081003.f9826a56-ubuntu2.1 Attached Xorg.0.log.old from the failed startup. Attached lspci -vvnn showing hardware details. Maybe related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/292609 ? Maybe invalid refresh rates/modeline issue? I will try starting with DRI disabled and report behaviour.
