Just a note for anyone running MediaWiki, where this problem causes pages to hang for several minutes until 'convert' times out. My office is full of HP workstations with nvidia quadro cards which need this driver. [Bug 232129] Re: /etc/cron.daily/rkhunter fails
Installing php5-recode did not immediately work for me. However, I noticed that when I fired up the php cli, it showed a warning message about another module not loading correctly. When I fixed this, then the rkhunter problem went away.
