[Bug 847637] [NEW] RDP connection stops screen updates, but user still can interact with remote server
Public bug reported: When connection established, and user working with it, suddenly remote screen stops to update, so it seems that connection hangs, user trying to interact with UI on remote desktop, but can't see any responce. But when he reconnects, he can see that state was changed (some windows moved, minimised, closed, as user wanted before, or some text typed), so it seems that remmina just been stopped to show new screen changes, but was able to send user actions to remote server and connection was still alive. This problem seems reproducible with all Windows 7 and Windows 2008 RDP Terminal servers. It happens when user working with terminal, but it also happens, when you minimize remmina rdp connection window for some time(about 10-20 minutes) Seems that some changes in RDP protocol in W7/W2008 causes this. [Bug 233784] Re: Local printer on remote desktop via RDP
Some days ago, I have tried grdc. It's really good alternative for tsclient... Since tsclient don't have option like additional command line parameters, printer issue become critical for it, but grdc have such option, and I can make it works by manual editing parameters string. Grdc have very good feature - panel, sticked on top of rdesktop window, then user can control rdesktop and some options even if -K and -y options of rdesktop is broken, I think. Also grdc have connection list, this is more convenient than save/load connections in tsclient. [Bug 233784] Re: Local printer on remote desktop via RDP
I suggest dirty solve for the problem. At sources of tsclient in support.c file, add something like: // Added support for mapping local printers to remote desktop FILE* fptr; gchar *prn_filename = g_build_path (/, tsc_home_path(), printers.list, NULL); if ((fptr = fopen(prn_filename, rd)) != NULL) { gchar *prnline = fgets(fptr) ; sprintf(buffer, -r printer:%s, prnline); c_argv[c_argc++] = g_strdup (buffer); fclose (fptr); } I don't have time to find out how to get printers list from system. If somebody can help with it, it would be great! I'am just new in linux and for now have problem with compilation of tsclient sources. I just dont understand why ./configure don't create makefile. -- Local printer on remote desktop via RDP https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/233784 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
