[Bug 847637] Re: RDP connection stops screen updates, but user still can interact with remote server

2014-10-09 Thread Procion
There is multiple bugs, actually. One, which is described above. And
another one is when screen updates, whatever you reconnect, a so rare,
like every 10-20 sec.

All this issues disappear after just closing remmina completely, and
starting it again.

I can't recall situation, when it was necessary to reboot, or restart
compiz.

2013-10-17 Thread Procion
This affects me too. still...

I just wonder, HOW this unstable buggy thing was got to release? Bugs about
that was revealed 2-3 months ago, so there was enough time to fix, or remove
it. This issue deals with main UX, it makes whole OS totally uncomfortable for
desktop users.
Community waiting for somebody to pay maximum attention to this issue.

[Bug 1083824] Re: php5 UTF-8 bug

2012-11-29 Thread Procion
Unfortunately I've tried to reproduce behaviour with simple test, but have no
luck. Seems that issue more complex and needs some further investigation.
And another bad thing, that i thought to provide kvm virtual machine with whole
problem application, but afraid it contains some confidential info.

I will try to figure out causes by myself.

[Bug 1083824] [NEW] php5 UTF-8 bug

2012-11-27 Thread Procion
Public bug reported:

Linux servername 3.2.0-32-generic #51-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 26 21:33:09 UTC
2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Bug found, when using pho5-fpm:

Package: php5-fpm
Status: install ok installed
Priority: optional
Section: php
Installed-Size: 8081
Maintainer: Ubuntu Developers ubuntu-devel-disc...@lists.ubuntu.com
Architecture: amd64
Source: php5
Version: 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4
Provides: phpapi-20090626
Depends: libbz2-1.0, libc6 (= 2.15), libdb5.1, libpcre3 (= 8.10), libssl1.0.0
(= 1.0.0), libxml2 (= 2.7.4), zlib1g (= 1:1.1.4), mime-support, php5-common
(= 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4), libmagic1, ucf, tzdata
Pre-Depends: dpkg (= 1.15.7.2~)
Suggests: php-pear

Php application receives registration form with two fields (Name,
Surname) in ru_RU UTF-8. I've checked content of $_REQUEST and $_POST,
and there array 'client', which contains fields with normal valid UTF-8
strings. But then developer of application getting 'client' array to
separate array variable:

$c = $_POST['client'];

and $c then contains invalid UTF-8 sequences.

for example in source was d180d0b8
but in $c it becomes f180d0b8
as you can see, it's invalid sequence and invalid behaviour of php.

and then database engine gives error about that.

I solved issue by getting values directly:

$data = array(
'name' = $_POST['client']['name'],
'sur_name' = $_POST['client']['surName'],
)

and it works. But the bug still remains and may cause lots of problems.

[Bug 847637] [NEW] RDP connection stops screen updates, but user still can interact with remote server

2011-09-12 Thread Procion
Public bug reported:

When connection established, and user working with it, suddenly remote screen
stops to update, so it seems that connection hangs, user trying to interact
with UI on remote desktop, but can't see any responce. But when he reconnects,
he can see that state was changed (some windows moved, minimised, closed, as
user wanted before, or some text typed), so it seems that remmina just been
stopped to show new screen changes, but was able to send user actions to remote
server and connection was still alive.
This problem seems reproducible with all Windows 7 and Windows 2008 RDP
Terminal servers.
It happens when user working with terminal, but it also happens, when you
minimize remmina rdp connection window for some time(about 10-20 minutes)

Seems that some changes in RDP protocol in W7/W2008 causes this. So rdp
plugin should be updated.

Affected Ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10 for sure. May be previous distros too.

[Bug 233784] Re: Local printer on remote desktop via RDP

2010-07-26 Thread Procion
Aaron, you can use Remmina from PPA. Since it works on FreeRDP (not
rdesktop) and it solves most of annoying rdesktop/tsclient bugs and
lacks.

add repo by this command: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:llyzs/ppa
then install new remmina by: sudo aptitude install remmina

goodluck!

[Bug 434540] [NEW] Pulseaudio takes all resources in one of processor core

2009-09-22 Thread Procion
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic

Often pulseaudio process takes all available processor resources, slowing down
computer.
I can't understand reason, may be it hangs, because of pidgin sounds, or
firefox flashplugin, or gstreamer, or exaile. No matter. In result it stops
playing any sounds and takes all available resources in one of processor cores.
The only way - is to instantly kill pulseaudio process, then it restarts.

How can I track, what happening? How can I help to find this bug?

[Bug 233784] Re: Local printer on remote desktop via RDP

2009-07-10 Thread Procion
Some days ago, I have tried grdc. It's really good alternative for
tsclient... Since tsclient don't have option like additional command
line parameters, printer issue become critical for it, but grdc have
such option, and I can make it works by manual editing parameters
string. Grdc have very good feature - panel, sticked on top of rdesktop
window, then user can control rdesktop and some options even if -K and
-y options of rdesktop is broken, I think. Also grdc have connection
list, this is more convenient than save/load connections in tsclient.

Easy GUI switch for printer in grdc will make it much better, and I
agree that patch is needed for that package. May be author of grdc will
become more sympathetic, and accept patch quickly.

[Bug 327581] [NEW] gvfsd-ftp must have ability to work with limited number of connections

2009-02-10 Thread Procion
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gvfs

Some FTP servers have limit for maximum number of connections per user.
Gvfs makes concurent connections for every separate task, it makes inpossible
to work with server, witch have limit of 2 connections per user. I can connect
and list files, but can't upload some files and edit files directly.
There must be option to work more economically with some servers.

[Bug 295812] Re: eog applet can't view ubuntu 8.10 standard wallpaper warty-final-ubuntu.png

2008-11-11 Thread Procion
It's eog bug, because it must view file headers to open it properly
instead of file extention. It is not a ms windows application!!!

imho file extention means nothing in UNIX-way...

[Bug 233784] Re: Local printer on remote desktop via RDP

2008-07-16 Thread Procion
I suggest dirty solve for the problem. At sources of tsclient in
support.c file, add something like:

  // Added support for mapping local printers to remote desktop
  FILE* fptr;
  gchar *prn_filename = g_build_path (/, tsc_home_path(),
printers.list, NULL);
if ((fptr = fopen(prn_filename, rd)) != NULL) {
 gchar *prnline = fgets(fptr) ;
 sprintf(buffer, -r printer:%s, prnline);
 c_argv[c_argc++] = g_strdup (buffer);
 fclose (fptr);
}

I don't have time to find out how to get printers list from system. If somebody
can help with it, it would be great!
I'am just new in linux and for now have problem with compilation of tsclient
sources. I just dont understand why ./configure don't create makefile.
