[Bug 1958019] Re: [82N6, Realtek ALC287, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

2022-01-16 Thread Przemek K.
I have the same issue.
I have a Legion 7 16ACHg6 which I'm testing under Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS and 21.10
LiveUSB, and in both of them there is no sound out of the built-in speakers.
Headphones are working fine though.
05:00.6 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Family 17h (Models
10h-1fh) HD Audio Controller
hwinfo shows that there is a "Realtek ALC701" chip in this laptop.
Full hwinfo output attached.

[Bug 1913350] Re: Intel Wireless-AC 7260 (rev bb) wifi card crashes randomly

2021-05-08 Thread Przemek K.
The problem has gotten worse, I'm unable to use my wifi because it disconnects
every 1-2 mins. It happens mostly after resuming from sleep.
The workaround script helps only for another 1-3 mins.

[Bug 1098566] Re: SST fails with innodb_data_home_dir/innodb_log_home_dir

2015-12-01 Thread Przemek
Bumping up as it is again a problem in latest PXC 5.6.26. Looks like SST script
is broken and ibdata1 and ib_logfile* are copied from .sst temp dir to datadir
instead of innodb_data_home_dir and innodb_log_group_home_dir accordingly.
Test logs in attachment.

[Bug 1454562] Re: cisco anyconnect degrades network

2015-05-13 Thread Przemek Wojtowicz
I'm seeing the same bug with a fresh install of Ubuntu 15.04 I'm not
sure what package is causing the issue since I can't reproduce it under
Fedora 21 or Linux Mint 17.1.

I can use the VPN connection sparingly, but it only works for a few
seconds and then goes out again. Something is causing the vpnagentd to
misbehave.

 Bug description:
I experience frequent disconnects and auth issues, never more than 30
minutes without a disconnect. Sometimes dozens of disconnects in a few
   minutes.

This happens with the default 7260-8 firmware.
Tried replacing the -8 with -9 ucode. Failed to load due to API version.
This loaded the -7 driver which seems to be more stable.

[Bug 975636] Re: Trouble setting library location to Pictures/Photos

2012-11-19 Thread Przemek Wesolek
I can confirm having the bug in 12.04. However, I also managed to get
rid of this.

After setting directory to ~/Pictures/Photos via dconf-settings,
Shotwell behaved as in comment #12, the input field in preferences is
set to (None). The structure of the Photos dir was:

  2005/
  2006/
  ...
  2012/
  some_text_file

I removed some_text_file, so only year folders were left. After
restarting Shotwell, Photos folder is correctly displayed in preferences
and I can import photos to that folder.

[Bug 633129] Re: mysql-client-5.1 no longer uses readline :(

2010-09-10 Thread Przemek
Thanks for reply.
Sorry, I've mistaken ubuntu releases, I meant jaunty and karmic.

For karmic I have:
cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu 9.10

ii mysql-client-5.1 5.1.37-1ubuntu5.4

mysql --version
mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.37, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using EditLine
wrapper

Indeed it seems that lucid version uses readline again (yay !) Thanks
for that, but If it is possible to fix karmic version to use readline It
would be really awesome !

[Bug 633129] [NEW] mysql-client-5.1 no longer uses readline :(

2010-09-08 Thread Przemek
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mysql-client-5.1

Affects all Ubuntu versions having MySQL 5.1 available, so Karmic,
Lucid, etc.

MySQL client 5.1 (AFAIK ONLY on ubuntu) is using EditLine (libedit) instead of
readline library.
This results in lack of some REALLY making life easier features like searching
history (ctrl+r) and browsing it with only uniq commands. Like you can run
show slave status\G 100 times in a row, but hitting up arrow 2 times gives
you a command before the first one!
MySQL DBAs have been using those features for ages, why sombody decided to make
their lives such a pain in the ass ?

I can only add that other distros - not only rpm-like ones still use readline -
debian does :
mysql --version
mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.49, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline
6.1

We're now migrating to 5.1 in my company and I'd really like to stay
with ubuntu not being forced to make my own MySQL packages !

I'm sure ones have seen this discussion:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1147183

[Bug 486402] [NEW] Missing link to search templates (search_templates)

2009-11-21 Thread Przemek Wesolek
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: movabletype-opensource

In MovableType there exist search templates, which allow e.g. creating
feeds to search results. They are expected to appear in
$MT_HOME/search_templates, similar to $MT_HOME/tmpl.

On Ubuntu $MT_HOME is set to /usr/lib/cgi-bin/movabletype. There is a
'tmpl' link there, but no 'search_templates'. This results in error when
trying to subscribe to search result's feed.

When created a link, mentioned feeds start to working:

Maybe a little off-topic, but I can't find Ekiga options mentioned

no Network Settings there.

[Bug 325009] Re: kwalletd crashed with SIGSEGV in QMetaObject::activate()

2009-02-04 Thread Przemek
It crashed after asked for password. Connection was established successfully,
but wallet was closed.
I use wallet with other apps (konqueror, kmail, kopete, krdc, smb4K) and it
doesn't crash. I have the same wallet for local and network passwords.
Tonight I will try to reproduce the problem.

[Bug 297815] [NEW] gns3 manual link add faild

2008-11-13 Thread Przemek Ciborowski
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gns3

Hi,

I can't add link manually, It's easy to check, just add two routers and try to
make link between.
I tried to check it on fresh ubuntu installation (in virtualbox) - the same
result.
I tried to check it on gns3 from www.gns3.net (sources) and this problem still
exist.

I suppose that can be problem with some library.

Regards,
Przemek Ciborowski

P.S. Sorry for bad English.

[Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync

2007-12-18 Thread przemek klosowski
Deleting the *.ev-summary files didn't resolve the problem for me---in
fact before it would just throw up the error message every time it tried
to fetch new mail, and after deleting the files it would crash
immediately after opening the main window (possibly when it went out to
the server to get new mail).

I then tried to run it under strace:
 strace -f evolution
and it started w/o crashing. Perhaps strace with its syscall printouts slows it
down enough to avoid the race that trips it up in the first place. So, I have
found a hacked workaround, of sorts.
