[Bug 810855] Re: New upstream release is available

[Bug 301958] Re: no support for sis 671/771 video cards
I managed to successfully run the original sisimedia driver (http://www.linuxconsulting.ro/xorg-drivers/) modified for Xorg 13, maintained now by Mandriva developers and Arch Linux developers. Here's the package page from Arch Linux: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?name=xf86-video-sisimedia If you need the initial source code, just look into PKGBUILD file, it has all the info including tarball, patch order and building. Possibly because other bugs have different kernel versions. Still, all these three bugs affect kernel 3.5.0 line and seem to fail in the same place. [Bug 878122] Re: Package samba 2:3.5.8~dfsg-1ubuntu2.3 failed to install/upgrade duing upgrade from Ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10
After completing upgrade, I believe this is related to distribution update process. The reason is probably with wrong order or wrong choice of Perl packages being upgraded during do-release-upgrade.
