[Bug 1506744] Re: Newly installed applications do not show in the dash

2016-06-11 Thread Rained23
hi,

I think Ubuntu team should focus this, currently everything is on the
same par level from application support from 3rd party to linux desktop,
and Unity is the next to near OS X user experience, I am not saying OS X
is better, but I just want to say OS X user experience on operating
system is indeed working.

But this bug really turn me off when I need to relog just to open an
apps, yes I know you can do alternative method to open that apps, but
why should I, this is simple and basic features that what makes me use
unity. Please focus on fixing this, I think this will turn down someone
who trying to convert to Ubuntu when they encounter this bug. I dont
think this should be allowed for more than 6 month.

One more thing I encounter from the dash it self, when trying to open
google chrome, or any apps, sometimes the letter I type didnt show up
the apps I need to retype to match the exact name of the apps. Dash
should be improved on fuzzy finder function.

2016-04-25 Thread Rained23
I think this is somehow packaging bug ?

I had removed mysql-server entirely from /var/lib/mysql to /etc/mysql .

sudo apt purge mysql-server and remove it, and when I try to install it
back, the package could not be installed.

Hi,

I resolved my issue by using ppa purge on ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers.

Reinstalling default Xorg solved the upgrade issue.

[Bug 1001564] Re: crash on installing Ubuntu 12.04 using Live CD from USB Drive

2012-05-19 Thread Rained23
* Is this reproducible?
-If that question means , If I do it again it will happen, Yes it will..
I tried it more than 3 times, it will end at the same error.
The said something about exit code 10 as I remember , and its something about
user .
If I click on Continue anyway, it will have an infinite error on Cannot create
user... something like that.

* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
   - How did you create the USB installer? (from Windows or Ubuntu, and which
tool)
I used LiLi , from linuxliveusb.com from Windows with version 2.8.11
   - Which option(s) did you select during the install?
I just Select the Iso then press the thunder button (run) .

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
