If you're using Compiz, you just need to enable Extra WM Actions under Window Management in CompizConfig Settings Manager. I don't know want is happening along the conversation in this 'thread', I'm just posting this to inform everyone who's interested in customizing notify-osd. - Sukochev Roman (Leolik) as a PPA with notify-osd which add the function of reading settings from ~/.notify-osd, and by my recommendation, now it has the patch created by Ankur Nayak, so it provides the timeout option too. To actualise such podcast-feeds I have to. 1. show properties of the feed 2. show details 3. mark the feed-address 4. copy the feed-address 5. close details 6. delete the feed 7. create a new feed with copied feed-address I thought that it was just me, but well, looks like I've found someone with the exact same bug as the one I'm having since Rhythmbox 0.11. It's just crazy all the process I've got to do, all the days, to just hear some podcasts. I hope someone can correct this annoying bug.
