First time I tried to reinstall on top of Ubuntu 18.04, crashed with corrupted 
buffer.
Second time I tried to reinstall, it failed because it could not overwrite Grub.
Third time I tried to reinstall, it failed without a clear reason the I did not 
understand.

Can't attach any files since system is not yet up. This area needs to be
much much bigger to deal with this class of problem. I can not include
here either syslog or partman because both are too long.

I am also suffering from this bug for a long time. The information that
was requested is below:

1) mysql server was running correctly and I can issue mysql command: It
returns: Server version: 5.0.75-0ubuntu10.2 (Ubuntu)

2) /var/log/daemon.log does not contain any mention of mysql

3) /var/log/kern.log does not contain any mention of mysql

4) The contents of /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld is attached.

[Bug 321326] [NEW] Unable to change Opening Balances initial value

Binary package hint: gnucash

When initially starting to use GnuCash, specific values for accounts are
often not set nor filled in. This is done in the realistic expectation
that the values can be changed later. Unfortunately, this is not the
case. In particular, if you use the Druid's default chart of accounts,
there is no way of changing any initial values.

User should be able to change the initial value of the Opening Balances
account (or any other account, for that matter)

I am using: Ubuntu 8.04.2 and gnucash 2.2.4
