2016-10-05 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Public bug reported:

When you use a text in a color different than BLACK, you can see an
outline/contour in bad resolution.
Looks like the antialiasing is not in the same color of letters.

2016-05-15 Thread Renato S. Yamane
$sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
H6ET95WW (2.13 )
10/23/2015

After update BIOS, as requested, I still cannot boot using Kernel of Kubuntu
15.10 (4.2.0-36-generic).
The last one I can use is 3.19.0-43-generic (from Kubuntu 15.04).

If I choose kernel 4.2 on grub menu, I get a black window with no extra
information.

[Bug 1077660] [NEW] Large installation size after upgrade from Kubuntu 12.04 to 12.10

2012-11-11 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Public bug reported:

After upgrade (using using kubuntu-devel-release-upgrade), my root
directory increase from ~5Gb to 10Gb!

I already use apt-get autoremove, aptitude clean, remove all
packages listed by deborphan, my logs are tiny (on /var/log) and the
old Kernel (3.2.0) was already removed.

Check image attached from xdiskspace.

As I use a SSD (80Gb), each byte is important for me.

Maybe this help (from Issue #243 - http://code.google.com/p/imageshack-
uploader/issues/detail?id=243):

In order to fix this you have to add:
req.setHeader(QNetworkRequest::ContentTypeHeader,
application/x-www-form-urlencoded);
after this-prepareNetworkRequest(req); line in HTTPRequest::post function
in httprequest.cpp file

[Bug 994740] Re: LibreOffice ao imprimir varias copias de um documento, enche o gerenciador de impressão com arquivos iguais novos

2012-05-05 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Helping here:

The user told when he print somes copies, the libreoffice create a lot
of tasks on print manager instead just one task with the number of the
copies.

E.g.: If he print 100 copies of one file, the printer manager shows 100
tasks instead just one task with 100 copies.

This problem don't happening on the previous version (BRoffice =
Openoffice) and on others programs, like PDF viewers.

[Bug 982425] [NEW] grub don't update entries on Kernel update

2012-04-15 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Public bug reported:

On every Kernel updates, my grub show only the last one version on
bootloader.

E.g.:
I has installed:
linux-image-3.2.0-18-generic
linux-image-3.2.0-19-generic
linux-image-3.2.0-20-generic
linux-image-3.2.0-21-generic
linux-image-3.2.0-22-generic
linux-image-3.2.0-23-generic

But on bootloader I see only the version linux-image-3.2.0-23-generic

IF I have a problem on Kernel update, I cannot boot the computer with
the old kernel (this is possible only if I edit entries by my hands)...
Users must have this option automatically.

[Bug 955490] Re: ODS files created on Libreoffice 3.4.4 (build 402 - on Windows7) don't open in 3.5.0 (build 13) - File attached

2012-04-01 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Quoting:
If you want to use LibreOffice you need to do a: apt-get install libreoffice
to get a complete libreoffice

This really don't make sense for me.

WHO will do an apt-get install libreoffice if we already see it on
menu?

All peoples here believe that libreoffice was installed, because we can
execute Writer, Calc, etc.

IF calc is installed, it must open old spreadsheets... And this not
happening (try open the file attached on this bug report).

And, to save size for media concern, try remove packages really
unnecessary, like kppp (see bug #970889), quassel, akregator, etc.

[Bug 957916] [NEW] Knotes overlap some notes when you reboot the computer (don't lock position)

2012-03-17 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Public bug reported:

I have 4 notes on the right side of the window... One below of each one.

When I shutdown and power-on my computer, I see only 3 notes.

BUT one note is overlapped of other.

#dpkg -i linux-image-2.6.26-2-686_2.6.26-19_i386.deb

After installation, reboot the machine and use Debian Kernel (choose it in

Shutdown the machine and wait 10h to see if the battery is drained.

[Bug 380392] [NEW] Use ODF 1.1 as standard instead ODF 1.2 (Draft)

2009-05-25 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

As we know, ODF 1.2 is still a *draft* and IMHO can't be used in stable
releases.

ISO/IEC 26300 recommend ODF 1.0/1.1, so I think that is a good idea use
it as default (we can found this option in Tools -- Options --
Load/Save -- ODF Version.

This kind of problem result in lower interoperability because some
office suites follow ODF 1.0/1.1 as recommended in ISO/IEC 26300 and
others follow ODF 1.2 (draft).

In work environment this is very frustrated, because a mix of formats
(ODF 1.1 and ODF 1.2) result in files that can't be manipulated in all
office suites.

[Bug 371295] Re: Bullets marks show a black box in openoffice writer

2009-05-04 Thread Renato S. Yamane
I add this in xorg.conf (that is empty):

==
Section Device
Identifier Configured Video Device
Option AccelMethod XAA
EndSection
==

But when I restart X, I get a strange signal, very similar as an analog
TV with no signal (http://tinyurl.com/cl3blb), and nothing work (no key,
no terminal, etc). I need hold power button to restart.

[Bug 371295] [NEW] Bullets marks show a black box in openoffice writer

2009-05-03 Thread Renato S. Yamane
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer

OS: Kubuntu 9.04 (LPIA Port)
Hardware: Dell Mini 9

When you use bullets marks on writer document (Format menu -- Bullets
and Numbering) you will see a large black box when you put writer cursor
in text with bullets.

I think that it is Bullets and Numbering float menu... But it appear
as a full black box.

See image attached to understand what I'm trying talk about.

Renato S. Yamane

[Bug 371295] Re: Bullets marks show a black box in openoffice writer

2009-05-03 Thread Renato S. Yamane
One thing to check would be to see if AccelMethod XAA makes the issue
go away.

What is the correct way to do that?
xorg.conf in Kubuntu 9.04 is empty and if I insert this line below, kdm don't
start:
Option AccelMethod XAA

With this option above I get error message: No screen found and
Option is a invalid option (or something like this).
