[Bug 1766068] Re: Using Zsh, it doesn't show an error message when command not found
I've found the origin of the problem. Since Zsh 5.3, the command_not_found_handler() behavior has changed, as you can see here: https://github.com/zsh- users/zsh/blob/9e2afb92987d7fd96a838c15b6641cc1b634a825/README#L207-L214 Copy & paste: 6) Previously, if the function command_not_found_handler was run in place of a command-not-found error, and the function returned non-zero status, zsh set the status to 127 and printed an error message anyway. Now, the status from the handler is retained and no additional message is printed. The main reasons for this change are that it was not possible to return a non-zero status to the parent shell from a command executed as a replacement, and the new implementation is more consistent with other shells. So now, when you define a custom command_not_found_handler() function in Zsh, the shell never print an error message by itself, i.e., the error message must be printed by the handler function. According to the above, I think the only solution is by remove the '--no-failure-msg' option from the /etc/zsh_command_not_found and therefore the command_not_found_handler() function is the only responsible to print error messages to the user. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1766068 Title: Using Zsh, it doesn't show an error message when command not found To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/command-not-found/+bug/1766068/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Interestingly, my chrome.manifest files seems to be already right, i.e. they contains es-ES and not es_ES: $ cat /usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions/langpack-es...@firefox-3.6.ubuntu.com/chrome.manifest locale global-region es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-region/ locale global-platform es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-platform/ locale pippki es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/pippki/ locale pipnss es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/pipnss/ locale alerts es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/alerts/ locale autoconfig es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/autoconfig/ locale cookie es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/cookie/ locale passwordmgr es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/passwordmgr/ locale places es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/places/ locale global-region es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-region/ locale global es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global/ locale global-platform es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-platform/ locale browser-region es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/browser-region/ locale browser es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/browser/ locale browser-region es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/browser-region/ locale mozapps es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/mozapps/ locale necko es-ES jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/necko/ locale global-region es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-region/ locale global-platform es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-platform/ locale pippki es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/pippki/ locale pipnss es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/pipnss/ locale alerts es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/alerts/ locale autoconfig es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/autoconfig/ locale cookie es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/cookie/ locale passwordmgr es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/passwordmgr/ locale places es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/places/ locale global-region es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-region/ locale global es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global/ locale global-platform es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/global-platform/ locale browser-region es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/browser-region/ locale browser es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/browser/ locale browser-region es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/browser-region/ locale mozapps es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/mozapps/ locale necko es jar:chrome/es-ES.jar!/locale/es-ES/necko/ So maybe my issue is not the same as yours and language-pack-es is not affected by this bug. Actually, my issue is about having [chrome://global/locale/intl.properties] instead of right language names es-es, es, en-us, en. [Bug 632760] Re: Language variants don't work in Firefox because the language codes are separated with an underscore rather than a hyphen in chrome.manifest
I think the problem is present in es_ES, too. Using Firefox, when I type www.google.com, it remains using .com domain. However, when using Google Chrome, when I type www.google.com it automatically changes to www.google.es, which is the right way. $ locale LANG=es_ES.utf8 LC_CTYPE=es_ES.utf8 LC_NUMERIC=es_ES.utf8 LC_TIME=es_ES.utf8 LC_COLLATE=es_ES.utf8 LC_MONETARY=es_ES.utf8 LC_MESSAGES=es_ES.utf8 LC_PAPER=es_ES.utf8 LC_NAME=es_ES.utf8 LC_ADDRESS=es_ES.utf8 LC_TELEPHONE=es_ES.utf8 LC_MEASUREMENT=es_ES.utf8 LC_IDENTIFICATION=es_ES.utf8 LC_ALL= -- Language variants don't work in Firefox because the language codes are separated with an underscore rather than a hyphen in chrome.manifest https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/632760 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This is what I get when I type www.google.com in my Spanish-localized Firefox. ** Attachment added: Selección_007.png https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/language-pack-zh/+bug/632760/+attachment/1664797/+files/Selecci%C3%B3n_007.png -- Language variants don't work in Firefox because the language codes are separated with an underscore rather than a hyphen in chrome.manifest https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/632760 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Also, the about:home page shows in English instead of Spanish. ** Attachment added: Selección_008.png https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/language-pack-pt/+bug/632760/+attachment/1664816/+files/Selecci%C3%B3n_008.png -- Language variants don't work in Firefox because the language codes are separated with an underscore rather than a hyphen in chrome.manifest https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/632760 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
