[Bug 1958565] [NEW] Can not boot after updating kernel to linux-image-5.13.0-27-generic

2022-01-20 Thread Rishabh
Public bug reported:

After auto-updating kernel to linux-image-5.13.0-27-generic I can not
boot into Ubuntu 20.04. But using an older kernel the boot works fine.

Laptop- Razor Blade 15 Advanced Model (2021)

The boot fails and drops to initramfs. Ubuntu can not find any disk
mounted. The problem is similar to this :

Using older kernel works fine

[Bug 1800723] Re: Missing package python3.7-pip

2019-05-14 Thread Rishabh Das
I would really like to see pip3 not pulling in dependencies for
python3.6. It interferes with other dependencies. In my case, few
packages, for instance cffi is causing issues with import when compiling
with python 3.7

[Bug 1768261] [NEW] Videos are getting stuck randomly at frames

2018-05-01 Thread Rishabh Lohia
Public bug reported:

Updated Ubuntu to 18.04 (from 17.10) and this problem started. Videos,
on VLC and on Youtube, Twitch etc. on Chrome get stuck on frames. The
video seek time also gets stuck at that frame, and then suddenly the
video skips ahead. Audio has no issues. I am assuming it's a problem
with the video drivers.

I have dual graphics cards, one integrated and one dedicated(AMD Radeon
HD 8670M). I guess my problem is similar to

2014-04-20 Thread Rishabh Upadhyay
i bought Hp Pavilion 15-n011tu because it was certified by ubuntu and
the wifi model too:mt7630e

but it just sucks now .

i just wonder why ubuntu is not taking any step to fix this bug .

the ubuntu website says : we will provide the support in next standard
release ; but in ubuntu 14.04 still this driver is missing .

i have moved to window 8 again .

2012-02-14 Thread Ish Rishabh
BTW, forgot to mention. I did a re-installation of a few packages today
(in order to fix a bug that prevented login into the system) by re-
installing gdm (which did not work) and then ubuntu-desktop (which
finally worked, allowing me to login). After that, the sound volume is
ok (at 100% input volume). However, it is still very noisy. Can't use it
for videochat.

No, no. I can.
1. Set screensaver idle time.
2. Wait for the screensaver to time-out.
3. It happens.

The video attached should give you a little idea of what I'm talking
about.

[Bug 273787] Re: Screensaver does not start

2008-10-11 Thread Rishabh Nagendra
Actually crashing, no.

And I found out something else; it doesn't happen if Compiz is disabled.
(i.e.) The screensaver starts normally.

[Bug 273787] Re: Screensaver does not start

2008-09-25 Thread Rishabh Nagendra
This doesn't seem to happen when glx is not enabled. (on my nvidia card).
The last time I tried it, it was with Compiz running.
However, apport launched only once, under conditions I'm not able to reproduce.
However, I can SEE that the screensaver doesn't start, even though apport
doesn't tell me about it. So I'm not sure if the program is CRASHING as such.
glx is not working for me at the moment, so I'll try a backtrace soon after I
get it to work.
