[Bug 1587154] Re: --working-directory does not work anymore

2020-11-17 Thread Roadowl
Anyone in the "works for me" choir: you're missing the point; it DOES
BOT work if and when the user has set the "Run custom command" option
for gnome-terminal.

[Bug 792265] Re: BraseroDvdcss could not retrieve key

2015-11-20 Thread Roadowl
Brasero is an optionless blackbox and a monumentous piece of crap, which
I (not important) as well as those who bring you your distro (important)
have known for a long time.

[Bug 937433] Re: drag and drop image to desktop or nautilus does not save image, only links to image

2015-07-21 Thread Roadowl
@Samuel Dellicour

That would clash with the Horror Userfrienlii that has gripped the Firefox
Development Community since, oh 'bout five years ago.
Options squashed, regression is a feature, we know what's best, emulate the
comp. even if they're crippled-- you know, that kind of thing.

Apologist Alexis Wilke says "So this is not a bug.".
Hogwash, say I.
Read that what you're writing yourself with care, dear Alexis.

[Bug 897188] Re: Evolution doesn't get new messages from an IMAP server after suspend/resume

2015-03-12 Thread Roadowl
Have bug, will travel (to the competition).

The reports, esp. those by iannis67 are acccurate and complete. Even a
plausible diagnosis is
offered.

Isn't evolution Ubuntu's default install for a mail reader? Is this yet another
example of "we
don't care" under the guise of "we're incompetent"? Meanwhile evolution spins
and spins
and spins and hangs.

Nice day.

[Bug 1089287] Re: useful dependencies missing in recoll package

2015-01-06 Thread Roadowl
Also, I find that after installing a number of missing helpers (like unrtf),
recoll
keeps listing them among those missing (Recoll > File > Show Missing Helpers).
