[Bug 2060204] Re: Resolution drop on third monitor on USB C
While I was with the downgraded packages, I found a workaround and when I upgraded again I didn't have the problem anymore; I tried to do the downgrading upgrading twice and I am unable to reproduce the bug (which was persistent after reboot) I tried to delete ~/.config/monitors.xml Is there a memory of monitors / displays? [Bug 2060204] Re: Resolution drop on third monitor on USB C
I downgraded successfully, I was able to do a weird manipulation (see below) and when I upgraded again the changes remained and it works with the last packages Manipulation : In the settings, I increased the resolution of the monitor A which was downgraded (I could not apply due to "hardware limitations") I chose the second external monitor B, changed the resolutions and I was to apply the changes At that point I had monitor A with the highest resolution and monitor B with a lower resolution I changed again the resolution of monitor B (and only B) back to the highest and applied Both monitors were back to maximum -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060204 Title: Resolution drop on third monitor on USB C To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2060204/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1327791]
First, is nautilus/gnome/whatever the file manager/desktop manager/desktopd of the month over there still making .desktop files mode 0644 if they're coming from e.g. online sources? I seem to recall that KDE was requiring this as well, but I won't swear to it. Second, I'm inclined to go with leave things as they are wrt xfce's setting them to 0644, in essence requiring them to be 0755 unless they're in a predictable/correct location. [Bug 1296372] [NEW] network disabled 14.04 trusty
Public bug reported: I first downloaded the 3/20 build, then the 3/21 build both with the same problem I have no network connection at all. Both installs installed completely with no errors, they even connected to the network and downloaded the files it's programmed to download, which is why I really can't believe the network isn't working. I do use mobile broadband to connect, but it is connecting to the computer as regular wifi, not mobile broadband. I tried two Samsung, and one LG phone, all on wifi and usb connections with the same result, on an Acer Aspire laptop. When running iwconfig, ifconfig, and lshw -c network, they all show that the connection is coming in to the computer, however the network connection is disabled. Network Manager is not installed so that is no help, I'll have to make a manual connection then updating, and adding programs to correct the problem. Running sudo ifup wlan0 up, returns the error Ignore unknown init wlan0=wlan0, and ignore unknown up=up. Iwlist scan, shows scannning is not capable, wlan0 is down, apport collect 126883 is not installed, /sbin/ifconfig -a shows all information is correct except connection is disabled. Hwinfo is not installed, neither is /sys/class/net. The computer is showing an ip address of 127.0.0.1 netmask 255.0.0.0, the phones are showing something like 10.74.26.171, 255.255.255.0, however my 13.10 Ubuntu on same computer has an address of 192.168.43.1, so network manager is compatible with the difference, but I don't think that the minimal services of this install can translate them. I have 13.10 and windows 7 both on the computer in addition to the 14.04, both other OS's, can connect both wirelessly and by usb0, so I know the hardware itself is good, I don't know if the right drivers are there. I think I have elimanated every possible problem except a software or driver problem. Unfortunately I can't update the network without the network. I've tried connection through wpa-supplicant, with no luck. I have spent three days trying to troubleshoot the issue with no luck. I tried using my 13.10 to download a .deb of network manager and installing with dpkg, however no matter what I did dpkg returned with an error of, file does not exist. For some reason the network is disabled on this version, at least with mobile broadband wifi, and usb connections, there needs to be a way to update the system so you can connect and update. ** Affects: systemd-shim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1296372 Title: network disabled 14.04 trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd-shim/+bug/1296372/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 573616] [NEW] Bad sound quality due to missing config files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio In karmic, maybe in later releases, too, the sound quality of pulseaudio is very bad. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: memcached Ubuntu 9.10 memcached 1.2.8-1 it appears that launching memcached through the init.d scripts will cause it to daemonize in a way where it's still attached to the tty of the launching terminal/process. This problem will not affect most people, but affects me because I have an application that will start up memcached when it starts up, and shut it down right before it's done shutting down. When my application receives a SIGINT, memcached gets the SIGINT as well and dies suddenly, where my app still needs it for the shutdown routine to complete. [Bug 411504] Re: evolution crashes when trying to save an appoinmment after adding a reccurence
Hey all, I posted this bug. I'm not using Ubuntu at the moment (Fedora). I got this message from (posted above) from Sebastian Bacher after I submitted it: Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. I didn't have to time pursue this further, and now can't do it at all. [Bug 207986] Re: unreadable layout
How did this file get generated in the first place? There are carriage- returns in the XML serialization, Tellico preserves those and they show up in the list view as you see it. I think the real bug may be whatever generated the data in the first place, which data source in Tellico did you use to create the data? I'll have to track that down and fix it.
