[Bug 1966087] [NEW] Lacking symlinks prevent config scripts from running
Public bug reported: I have installed roundcube and roundcube-psql on Ubuntu 20.04 from the packages. At the top of /etc/apache2/conf-available/roundcube.conf there is a single alias which I have uncommented. # Uncomment them to use it or adapt them to your configuration Alias /roundcube /var/lib/roundcube After reloading Apache, the login screen works in a browser when I load http://ipaddress/roundcube, but the /usr/share/roundcube/installer/config.php file cannot be found by http://ipaddress/roundcube/installer/config.php. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Roundcube says there should be two alias lines to uncomment, but in the latest source code of Roundcube there's only one alias. Roundcube is installed into /usr/share/roundcube, but there are symlinks in /var/lib/roundcube as below: lrwxrwxrwx 1 www-data www-data 14 Feb 24 2020 config -> /etc/roundcube lrwxrwxrwx 1 www-data www-data 30 Feb 24 2020 index.php -> /usr/share/roundcube/index.php lrwxrwxrwx 1 www-data www-data 19 Feb 24 2020 logs -> ../../log/roundcube drwxr-xr-x 2 www-data www-data 4096 Mar 21 17:16 plugins lrwxrwxrwx 1 www-data www-data 28 Feb 24 2020 program -> /usr/share/roundcube/program drwxr-xr-x 2 www-data www-data 4096 Mar 21 17:16 skins drwxr-x--- 2 www-data www-data 4096 Feb 24 2020 temp There's index.php linking to /usr/share/roundcube/index.php, but not to the setup scripts. So I added the following symlink: installer -> /usr/share/roundcube/installer This allows the installer to run, but on the "create config" step, nothing is generated, so clearly there are more missing links ;-) This seems like a bug in the package to me. [Bug 1292398] Re: Second screen position isn't saved from one session to another
I have this problem with Ubuntu 17.10. Unity (17.04) didn't have this problem. Asus Zenbook Flip: I work primarily in 2 locations. I have large monitors at each location. When I'm at home, my notebook is positioned to the left of the monitor. I have configuration set for that. When I get to the client site, the notebook is on the right of the monitor and the monitor is bigger than the one at home. After having my home settings active, gnome does not remember my client setup and vice versa. I expect the configuration to be restored the moment I connect a previously set up external monitor, the way it was working on Unity. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1292398 Title: Second screen position isn't saved from one session to another To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/1292398/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1254832] Re: Missing options for ltsp-update-image
It may be old, but the manpage has version for each release. On 12.04 (which is the latest LTS version), the options exist in the source but not in the manpage. [Bug 651586] Re: Mozilla Thunderbird and Firefox spellcheck has too many languages
Firefox seems to detect different spell checkers now. I can add Afrikaans to firefox, but it doesn't appear in the hunspell list. The same goes for en-za. I also have this problem, but it affects Lucid (10.04) and Maveric (10.10). However, I don't have a flashdrive or anything else but an ext4 system drive in a notebook. Also there are no messages in my /var/log/messages that pertain to apt, dpkg or the like. It would be nice to learn how to debug this in more detail. I just installed dvdregion and set it to region 2 (which is where I am and what my DVD's are), but although my regions matches the DVD now, the error stays the same. [Bug 402752] Re: OpenOffice.org 3 does not save sheet reference correctly for Excel format
I did now test this on a windows machine with OOo 3.1 and it seems that this problem does not occur there. I have not installed OOo 3.1 on my Ubuntu desktop yet, so I cannot test this here. However, the difference in behaviour between OOo 3.0 and 3.1 seems to be that the newer version understands the sheet1!A1 reference that Excel uses, but the older does not. I used the following formula in a cell, which is still broken when exported to Excel from OO0 3.1 though: =IF(INDIRECT(CELL(contents,$A8).$B$5)=D$1,INDIRECT(CELL(contents,$A8).$B$1),0) Cell A8 contains the name of the sheet that the value of B5 or B1 should be looked up from. However, when this sheet is saved as an xls file, the .$B$5 is not converted to !B$5, probably because OOo does not understand that the value of CELL(contents,$A8) must be a sheet name by mere virtue of the syntax. It should however, since there is not other element that can precede a cell reference except a sheet reference if my synopsis is correct. In the OOo 3.1 for Windows test I could do, this is still the case. Excel does not understand sheet1.$B$5. If I use the reference without INDIRECT though, all is well. OOo translates sheet1.A1 to sheet1!A1 when saved as xls. Of course the workaround is to use the reference notation that Excel uses, since OOo 3.1 seems to understand this now, but this is only a workaround and a complex sheet like they one I built in OOo takes a lot of time to manually convert and then OOo 3.0 users cannot use the sheet again, which creates a new problem. I trust this desrcibes the problem a bit clearer, but if I need to provide more detail I'd be glad to. -- OpenOffice.org 3 does not save sheet reference correctly for Excel format https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/402752 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 402752] [NEW] OpenOffice.org 3 does not save sheet reference correctly for Excel format
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org OOo refers to a cell on a sheet as sheet1.$A$1 fo example, whereas Excel does it this way: sheet1!$A$1. When saving a sheet in OOo in xls format, the conversion is not done and all cells with the OOo reference are reported as errors in Excel. The inverse is true as well. When Excel sheets are opened in OOo the sheet1!$A$1 reference is not converted to the . notation. [Bug 203906] Re: tinyerp-client fails on startup
This fix does not seem to work on Hardy. What is actually broken in the package? Is it a faulty pixmap, is the location of the file incorrect (in my 4.2.0 installation there was no /usr/share/pixmap/tinyerp-client directory) or is it something else? I did copy the files did attached into that directory, but it makes no difference.
