[Bug 969767] [NEW] On installing 12.04 Beta 2 as a dual boot with win7 the Grub2 menu did not show up.
Public bug reported: I had to use the nomodset kernel option to get even the live cd of 12.04 Beta2 to run (64x with nvidia gt240.) The installation was done with an automated re-partition for dual boot with win7. After install on re-boot there was no grub2 menu to select desired os - the pc just booted to win7 as previously. I got advice on irc.freenode.net/#ubuntu+1 and used the live cd to do an automated grub recovery selecting the automated repair. This fixed the problem and at next boot the grub menu was available. (This situation would probably throw a real newbie quite badly.) [Bug 278586] Re: VLC0.9.3.Grischenko cant play IPTV/T-Home
It has occured to me that this problem showed up just after an automated (for the t-home receiver at least - not for a pc+VLC of course-) System Update a couple of days ago. So i now think the problem is that the data included in the vlc t_home_iptv.m3u which one can still d-load from http://www.ard- digital.de/index.php?id=14028languageid=1 - no longer fits the signal/system used? I have sent them email and asked if this is the case/when a revised list will be available. Will report thier response here. -- VLC0.9.3.Grischenko cant play IPTV/T-Home https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/278586 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 270618] Re: GSPCA driver no longer works
Here with same cam and 2.6.27-4-generic largely confirm above with remark that the built-in microphone seems to work fine - just the cam/video is the problem. -- GSPCA driver no longer works https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/270618 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
