[Bug 522121] Re: qla2xxx crashes when connected to FC switch

2010-05-14 Thread Ronnie Koch

Tested today with a freshly installed ubuntu-10.04-server-i386.iso with no
updates applied and the Fibre Channel interfaces work as expected.

Re: [Bug 522121] Re: qla2xxx crashes when connected to FC switch

2010-05-08 Thread Ronnie Koch
Jeremy,

With some luck I will be able to test a released 10.4 iso early next
week. If the problem persists I might have time test with the latest
mainline kernel.

I will update after the tests

Regards

Ronnie

 Hi Ronnie,

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from
 http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It will automatically gather and
attach updated debug information to this report.

 apport-collect -p linux 522121

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be
great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
 Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested
the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This
can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at
the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing'
text. Please let us know your results.

 Thanks in advance.

[Bug 522121] Re: qla2xxx crashes when connected to FC switch

2010-02-18 Thread Ronnie Koch

Tried with 8.04 and the FC part works as expected with switch. I do not
currently have time to try 8.10 or 9.04 (need the lab working next week) but at
least we know 8.04 was OK
