[Bug 351908] [NEW] Hotkeys for ACPI events on Toshiba Satellite 5200-903 don't work
Public bug reported: Hotkeys for ACPI events on Toshiba Satellite 5200-903 don't work in Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Release: 9.04 Neither of Fn+F1 .. FnF12 works in the 9.04 Beta. When I followed the suggestion from the page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Hotkeys/Troubleshooting - I've got to the point #12, hence as I have found - only the combination Fn+F5 was generating some event. But pressing the power related buttons - e.g. Fn+F6, Fn+F7 fkr LCD brightness, or Fn+F4 for suspend to RAM - generated no even at all. What else may I test and provide additional dta here? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Hotkeys for ACPI events on Toshiba Satellite 5200-903 don't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/351908 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 351925] [NEW] Suspend to RAM with NVIDIA drivers v.173 doesn't work
Public bug reported: In response to 9.04 BETA request to test suspend functionality - this is my report. System: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Release: 9.04 , running on the Toshiba Satellite 5200-903 notebook (video card - Nvidia FX Go5600). Using the latest recommended Nvidia propriaetary drivers v.173 installe automatically by the Hardware drivers utility - I've got the following probelms with suspend / resume: 1. Suspend / resume when activated directly from GDM welcome screen, before user log in - works fine out of the box. 2. Suspend from the normal user Gnome session after login - works. But after resume - the display remains blank, even no LCD back-light goes on. CTRL+F1 .. F6 doesn't switch to the console either. But NUM-lock on the keyboard reacts - som something seems to be not hanging. 3. Tried to apply all the suggestins from the https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NvidiaLaptopBinaryDriverSuspend - one by one and all together. The best what I've got was to see after the resume the black screen with the mouse cursor moving with a mouse. But no Gnome, nothing. And again, no way to switch anywhere from there by CTRL+F1 .. CTRL+F6. 4. Using the older drivers v.96 - solved the problem out of the box. So I assume there should be something wrong in communication with the new Nvidia drivers, or the driver itself is buggy. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Suspend to RAM with NVIDIA drivers v.173 doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/351925 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
