[Bug 886407] [NEW] goban screensaver doesn't work
Public bug reported: The goban-ss screensaver doesn't currently work with gnome-screensaver on Ubuntu 11.04 or 11.10. It just shows a blank screen on preview. Two packages are installed: goban-ss version 1.1-2 and goban-original- games version 1.1-2. When installed, the goban screensaver is listed in the Gnome Screensaver Preferences, but of course there are no editable options as there are in xscreensaver Preferences, such as the directory where the go games from the goban-original-games package are stored. The goban screensaver itself can be executed and works from a command line terminal with: /usr/lib/xscreensaver/goban With Xscreensaver installed it doesn't show up at all in the list of screensavers in the Xscreensaver Preferences although I can force it to work with Xscreensaver by editing the ~/.xscreensaver file and manually adding an entry for it. There should have already been an entry for it, but there is not. In order to get it to work at all with xscreensaver I still had to run xscreensaver-demo, click on 'settings' and add the /usr/share/goban directory to the game directory. So, in summary, on installation, the goban screensaver doesn't work with gnome-screensaver or xscreensaver, either one, on Ubuntu, Ubuntu64, or Xubuntu 11.04 or 11.10, on every computer or netbook I've tried it on. (It doesn't work on Mint 'Katya' either.) ** Affects: goban (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gnome-screensaver goban goban-original-games goban-ss xscreensaver -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/886407 Title: goban screensaver doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/goban/+bug/886407/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 607052] Re: Ubuntu can't mount floppy disk
Still not working in 11.04. Clicking on PlacesFloppy Drive just turns on the floppy drive light for a moment, but doesn't seems to do anything else. For some reason, sudo mount /dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 doesn't work either, but I can sudo mount /dev/fd0u1440 /media/floppy0 and a floppy0 icon appears on the desktop and I can click on that and Nautilus displays the files on it just fine but read-only of course. Clicking on PlacesFloppy Drive still doesn't seems to do anything. And, of course, I can't unmount the floppy0 icon from the desktop. It says: umount: only root can unmount /dev/fd0u1440 from /media/floppy0 So I have to use sudo umount /media/floppy0/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/607052 Title: Ubuntu can't mount floppy disk To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/607052/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 640066] Re: Dell mini 10 doesn't wake up from suspend (powered standby)
I was having the same problem on my Dell Mini 1012 with the 32-bit version of 11.04. I discovered the Intel Atom N450 in it is actually a 64-bit processor, so I made a 64-bit 11.04 USB Desktop USB stick and when I booted from it, the suspend/resume worked properly, so I did a clean install of the AMD64-bit version of 11.04 and the suspend/resume has been working fine. [Bug 661841] Re: Bluetooth not working in Dell Mini 10 (1012)
I am having this problem with bluetooth also on my Inspiron Mini 1012 running 11.04. I checked the BIOS to make sure bluetooth was enabled there. It was. WIFI works fine. The bluetooth icon is visible but bluetooth preferences says bluetooth is disabled and clicking on Turn on bluetooth does nothing. It doesn't show up in lshw or hciconfig either. I even upgraded the BIOS on the off chance that might fix it. No difference. I'm beginning to wonder if this computer really has bluetooth built in. I happened to have a bluetooth USB dongle and it worked fine, but I'd much rather get the bluetooth in the netbook itself working rather than use the dongle. This is a iM1012-3302IBU. I also ran the Dell Diagnostics from the utility partition and all the diagnostics test passed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661841 Title: Bluetooth not working in Dell Mini 10 (1012) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-bluetooth/+bug/661841/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 131711] Re: [gutsy] no sound: Failed to construct test pipeline in sound recording
I'm having this problem also on Ubuntu64 'gutsy'. I have PulseAudio-0.9.6-1ubuntu-2 installed and configured. I've had one audio problem after another with Ubuntu.
