[Bug 1184154] Re: After last Kernel Update (3.2.0-44) system hangs on startup

2013-07-16 Thread Saija
Enough is enough! I have had it with these annoying bugs on this
annoying new Ubuntu!

I just formatted and installed Fedora on my work laptop, I'm planning on
doing the same at home.

Thank you guys for your time and dedication but frankly I don't have the
time now to mess with configurations, logs and support forums to make
something works as expected specially something that a previous kernel
version worked flawlessly, and the worst: no official answer, none,
ninguna, zero, nada.

I'll always will try to make my best to help Ubuntu, but right now I'm
moving elsewhere.

THANK YOU AND SEE YA ALL!

PS: I remember the good ol' days of Warthy Warthog and the new
experience of having a good and usable and user friendly linux distro
who doesn't need I became some sort of wizard to learn ancient
incantations to make my old SIS620 integrated "graphic chip" work with
X86(XFree, or X11, I don't remember..)

Gracias Totales!

I just installed the kernel 3.2.0-48 hoping this new version will fix

And I'm just wondering that there's no official answer

[Bug 1184154] Re: After last Kernel Update (3.2.0-44) system hangs on startup

2013-06-05 Thread Saija
Hi

I can attest that the kernel 3.2.0-44 AND 3.2.0-45 both of them hangs up
the entire system, with them the system starts and show off the login
screen, there when I move the mouse to enter my credentials the systems
freeze, no mouse movement, no keyboard inputs, no CTRL+ALT+FN, nothing,
nada.

The only option left to my is shut down the laptop pressing down the
powen button for a while, then restart and the on the grub menu select
previous linux versions and then select the 3.2.0-43 version.

My system it's a 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

[Bug 348762] Re: xfce4-autostart-editor crashed with SIGSEGV

2009-04-29 Thread Saija
Hi everyone, i know there's some quite number of bugs right now, but
theres no activity in this one for a while, so please close this, i'm
moving back to windows or to some diferent distro(maybe OpenSuse), sorry
to be a little pedantic but sincerely i don't want to spend my little
spare time hunting bugs or trying diferent configurations to run
something as a window manager, multimedia application(vlc, totem,
amarok, rythmbox every single multimedia app in my box is broken, no
sound or video at all, only mp3blaster could save the day).

There's so much right now to make this distro more lazy/idiot/busy user
friendly that i'm giving up.

Thanks for your time, sorry for the rant, and bye.

[Bug 348762] [NEW] xfce4-autostart-editor crashed with SIGSEGV

2009-03-25 Thread Saija
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xfce4-session

when i try to run xfce4-autostart-editor by means of the run program in the
xfce menu i doesn't run at all, trying to run it in a console display a SIGSEGV
error, looking in the launchpad bug reports i found this one: Bug #206867,
there Urs Fleisch wrote:
...
Looking at xfae_item_new() in xfae-model.c, item is only allocated if "Type" is
"Application", but at the end of the function passed to xfae_item_free(), where
it is dereferenced, also if it is NULL. To reproduce the bug, you only need a
desktop entry with a "Type" which is not "Application", e.g.
adept_notifier_auto.desktop:

grep -n "Type=Service" /etc/xdg/autostart/*
/etc/xdg/autostart/adept_notifier_auto.desktop:21:Type=Service
...

running that grep in my system shows the following:

sa...@hal-9000:~$ grep -n "Type=Service" /etc/xdg/autostart/*
/etc/xdg/autostart/adept_notifier_auto.desktop:21:Type=Service
