[Bug 981527] Re: Chromium and Google Chrome browsers show tabs with no text

2013-10-23 Thread Sami Kankaristo
This bug is still present in Ubuntu 13.10, I just got it on a (mostly)
fresh install of 13.10, after changing the theme in Chromium. The same
theme was working fine in 13.04.

[Bug 492959] Re: Evince cannot save filled PDF forms

2012-07-10 Thread Sami Kankaristo
I needed a fix for this, so I made the attached bash script. Open your
PDF files with this script and it will decrypt the file (overwriting the
original) and open the decrypted file. Forms on decrypted PDFs can be
saved.

For me, this is an adequate fix, because the encryption only seems to
get in the way. I would be happy if Evince did the same.

I wrote this in 15 minutes and it's 4:45 in the morning, but it *seems*
to work okay. Feel free to edit it, just post the new version here (or
email it to me: sami.kankari...@gmail.com).

Thanks to Jon Leighton for pointing out qpdf!

[Bug 299409] Re: saving a copy of a pdf form deletes all content excepting filled fields

2012-07-10 Thread Sami Kankaristo
I needed a fix for this, so I made the attached bash script. Open your
PDF files with this script and it will decrypt the file (overwriting the
original) and open the decrypted file. Forms on decrypted PDFs can be
saved.

I wish Evince did the same, if saving encrypted data isn't possible.

[Bug 951143] Re: [Asus eeepc 1225B] Suspend and hibernate not working

2012-06-02 Thread Sami Kankaristo
The script from b3nn0 works for me on an Asus 1225B with Ubuntu 12.04.

For the people who are having problems: suspend is probably working for
you, but the laptop wakes up immediately after going to sleep.

I had the same problem, but found a fix:
1. Enable wake up on lid in BIOS
2. Disable wake up on lid in /proc/acpi/wakeup (I used acpitool)

Using the script and these settings, suspend works perfectly. Hibernate
seems to be unavailable, but I only use suspend because it's faster.

[Bug 994388]

2012-05-21 Thread Sami Kankaristo
Same problem on LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 / Ubuntu 12.04

For me at least, it isn't resetting to the CUPS default. The CUPS
default is set to tray 2, but LibreOffice always resets to tray 1. This
is extremely annoying, because my printer refuses to print from tray 1
(which has A3, instead of A4).

All other programs remember the tray setting, only LibreOffice keeps
forgetting it.

My printer is a Konica Minolta Bizhub C252, so the problem probably
exists across all printers.

[Bug 994388]

2012-05-21 Thread Sami Kankaristo
P.S. To make things even more annoying, I have to go through File -
Printer settings to even temporarily change the paper tray.

If I go to File - Print and select Properties to change the paper
tray, it gets reset immediately, i.e. I can't print!
