Rmano, I dont think this is a duplicate: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vino/+bug/1307084 If you read my bug raport...I disabled the encryption with dconf trick but still it didnt work from Mac OSX Screen Sharing application. Public bug reported: After upgrading to 14.04 from 13.10 VNC stopped working from Mac OSX Screen sharing application. At first I thought it was related to issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vino/+bug/1290666 . But that makes other VNC clients such as TightVNC working but issue with OSX Screen Sharing still exists, maybe it is because it uses fairly old protocol. I built vino version 3.6.2 from Ubuntu 13.10 and everything works perfectly again.
