No, but I can't say wether Ubuntu still shows LOTS of messages or not
(if something happens)

[Bug 1676829] [NEW] Mic input volume always resets

2017-03-28 Thread Sergey Pashinin
Public bug reported:

Sound card: CA0106/CA0111

Each time I start PC - mic input volume resets to some "default" value.
This happens from 16.04 (maybe earlier). Now I have 17.04, still have it.

Each time I run:

1) alsamixer
2) select input device, "Line In"
3) set it to max.

(Or same actions in Ubuntu GUI)

Then (after restart or suspend) the volume goes back to some middle
value (low for me).

I'm pissed off setting it back again and again. Does someone else have
this problem?

[Bug 1268015] Re: Connecting Nexus 4 pops up a ton of windows

2016-08-02 Thread Sergey Pashinin
My suggestion now is that was a problem with power (usb). As I remember
I connected my phone through a usb hub. Now I connect it directly and
don't have these windows. But still when having such shit I prefer to
see 1 message (not hundreds) and better with some usefull text.

[Bug 264691] Re: Please add NM option for connecting to L2TP IPSEC VPN

I've used xl2tpd for many years. If this thing (#37) isn't still a part of

Blocking Internet is actually critical importance, not wishlist!

[Bug 1324520] [NEW] Monitor blinks when connected through HDMI

2014-05-29 Thread Sergey Pashinin
Public bug reported:

I have 2 monitors, (connections: VGA, HDMI). When 1 monitor (LG IPS237) is
using HDMI - it can blink for 5-10 mins from reboot (1 second off, 1 second on)
If both monitors are connected using VGA - there is no blinking, but I had
strange glitches (that's why I used HDMI)
And the fact that it is blinking with this connection type is really f...ing
annoying.

PS: It only blinks when in Nvidia X Server Settings this monitor is set
as primary (which is in my case, and I want this setting to stay)

pactl list and pulseaudio log - in attachements

It looks that only .pulse directory was corrupted somehow by something and
pulseaudio couldn't run.
I looked at 2 dirs (working and not working:

aaa5bb6eaa7cd50f2af1f104-runtime - /tmp/pulse-EI7diVSblQG2
aaa5bb6eaa7cd50f2af1f104-runtime -

think that bad symbolyc link caused this, maybe this situation should be
handled programatically by pulseaudio?

Also I have to mention that I have /tmp as tmpfs in my fstab, but till
this moment everything was ok.

[Bug 643289] Re: idmapd does not starts to work after system reboot

2012-12-21 Thread Sergey Pashinin
I had this crazy problem with NFS and not started idmapd after reboot on my
Ubuntu 12.10 x64.
I tested a lot of advices from the internet but found my crazy soltion. I don't
know why it works :)

I used to have in my fstab:
10.254.239.1:/usr/data/disk_1 /usr/data/disk_1 nfs4
_netdev,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=1,soft,retry=0,auto,bg 0 0

The only thing I changed was ip address:
domain.com:/usr/data/disk_1 /usr/data/disk_1 nfs4
_netdev,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=1,soft,retry=0,auto,bg 0 0

Actually domain.com resolves to 10.254.239.1 (My DNS server is on 10.254.239.1
also)
But there are even errors Can't be resolved in log. So I don't know why it
works.

But still it mounts(!) now and everything is working.
I hope that it will help somebody and hope will never see such bugs again
