[Bug 1720901] Re: VLC under Wayland causes system freezes in fullscreen mode
I don't understand why that bug was marked as fixed when the standard vlc package in Ubuntu is obviously not fixed and still causing those crashes and bothering users. And I really don't see the point for opening a new bug report for the same old problem, so I just changed the status of this bug. Side note: In the current snap package of vlc 3.0.0-rc7 those crashes are not happening any more. As there are other minor issues in that snap (like no disabling of screen timeout while video playback), that is not a perfect workaround yet for users who prefer vlc. ** Changed in: vlc (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1720901 Title: VLC under Wayland causes system freezes in fullscreen mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1720901/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1740700] [NEW] rhythmbox keeps playing music after closing
Public bug reported: I am on 17.10 now but I also experienced the following behaviour all recent Ubuntu versions. What I expect to happen: After closing Rhythmbox by pressing "x" in the menu bar, the program should really close and music should stop playing. What actually happens: Rhythmbox keeps running in the background. To finally stop the music I have to press pause in the Gnome shell addon (17.10) or press the audio button in the top panel and pause the music there (17.04 and prior versions). I know that this a "feature" rather than a real bug. However, this behaviour very counterintuitive - all other programs (included in Ubuntu by default) close on "x". Plus it does not even have any benefit on usability- we have that neat dock to park programs that run in the background. Therefore I see no reason that Rhythmbox should in this regard behave different and I would call it a bug in user experience. I think it should be changed, at least in future Ubuntu versions. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1740700 Title: rhythmbox keeps playing music after closing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1740700/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1725457] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_tree_view_get_column()

[Bug 1725457] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_tree_view_get_column()
No, I do not filter the view of my music library. And yes, on my system I can reproduce the bug: 1) Open Rythmbox 2) Add a song from the music library to the queue 3) Go to the queue and click on the song that was just added to play it. It usually happens when I am switching between the photos in eog and going back and forth. [Bug 1721271] Re: Bluetooth and Wifi: coexistence Problem
I have a very similar problem to the one described above by John Tanner, so I thought I would add my information here instead of opening a new bug report. My bluetooth is not working as long as I am connected to a Wifi - I cannot pair with new devices, send or receive files. I can connect to a wireless network without any problems while having bluetooth active - but bluetooth is not working any more then. Furthermore I noticed that my Laptop is shown as "Bluemoon universal Bluetooth" on my phone instead of the proper device name. ** Tags added: apport-collected -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721271 Title: Bluetooth and Wifi: coexistence Problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1721271/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Interestingly I can not reproduce this problem when the laptop is connected to an AC power source. - --- + --- ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.19 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: - USERPID ACCESS COMMAND - /dev/snd/controlC0: simon 1437 F pulseaudio + USERPID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: simon 1437 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=76bcd0ad-fc42-4d1a-8089-0f10d23df682 InstallationDate: Installed on 2016-03-03 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20160217.1) Lsusb: - Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub - Bus 001 Device 004: ID 138a:0017 Validity Sensors, Inc. - Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04ca:7058 Lite-On Technology Corp. - Bus 001 Device 005: ID 8087:0a2b Intel Corp. - Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub + Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub + Bus 001 Device 004: ID 138a:0017 Validity Sensors, Inc. + Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04ca:7058 Lite-On Technology Corp. + Bus 001 Device 005: ID 8087:0a2b Intel Corp. + Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub MachineType: LENOVO 20F5S0EU00 Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.2.0-27-generic.efi.signed root=UUID=fa7f6b64-3d57-43ce-a52b-5323c46dd0ca ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.2.0-27.32~14.04.1-generic 4.2.8-ckt1 RelatedPackageVersions: - linux-restricted-modules-4.2.0-27-generic N/A - linux-backports-modules-4.2.0-27-generic N/A - linux-firmware1.127.20 + linux-restricted-modules-4.2.0-27-generic N/A + linux-backports-modules-4.2.0-27-generic N/A + linux-firmware1.127.20 Tags: trusty Uname: Linux 4.2.0-27-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 01/25/2016 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: R02ET44W (1.17 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20F5S0EU00 dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: Not Defined dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: None dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrR02ET44W(1.17):bd01/25/2016:svnLENOVO:pn20F5S0EU00:pvrThinkPadX260:rvnLENOVO:rn20F5S0EU00:rvrNotDefined:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNone: dmi.product.name: 20F5S0EU00 dmi.product.version: ThinkPad X260 dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists- upstream-4.5.0-rc7 ** Tags removed: kernel-bug-exists-upstream-4.5.0-rc7 ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream-4.5-rc7 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1552906 Title: System freezes after closing lid on Thinkpad X260 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1552906/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
