[Bug 107636] wifi adapter not resumed after hibernate

2007-04-19 Thread Skadge
Public bug reported:

After resuming an hibernation, my wifi adapter doesn't show up anymore
when I type ifconfig. Thus, no wifi connection. I'm using an Intel
3945ABG wifi adapter on an ASUS A7J laptop. The ipw3945 module is
loaded. If I unload and reload the module, dmesg says:

[30242.124000] ipw3945: Radio Frequency Kill Switch is On:
[30242.124000] Kill switch must be turned off for wireless networking to work.

The kill switch is however on, and, actually, if I reboot my laptop,
I work flawlessly again.

 Status: Unconfirmed

[Bug 67236] Re: The battery notification icon don't show the current battery power

I notice this bug today too, on Feisty. It happened after an hibernation.
See on the screenshot (battery actually 100% and computer plugged, but the GPM
shows an empty icon)

That's right, I've installed the Feisty kernel. It can be indirectly the
source of instability. Thanks for the time you gave to this problem !

[Bug 64852] Re: Weird Tcl/Tk look...

2007-01-06 Thread Skadge
I just tried with the latest speedcrunch version available on Edgy
repositories : I get the same result. It's probably linked to the Qt
dependencies, since I'm running Gnome. But that's still strange since it
worked with Gnome under Dapper...

[Bug 64852] Weird Tcl/Tk look...

2006-10-09 Thread Skadge
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: speedcrunch

After an Edgy upgrade from Dapper, SpeedCrunch looks like it has a
crappy old Tcl/Tk GUI. Far from what I got in Dapper...

[Bug 47371] [fglrx and DRI] Can't start openoffice or blender after update in edgy

2006-10-02 Thread Skadge
...I've updated Dapper to Edgy and I get the same errors [fglrx] API
ERROR: could not register entrypoint for... when I launch any
application requiring OpenGL (or OpenOffice)

I'm running an ATI Radeon X1600 (thus the fglrx driver instead of the
radeon one).

BUT it only occurs when I put this:

Section Extensions
Option Composite disable
EndSection

in my xorg.conf

I need these lines to enable DRI (else I got a
Xlib: extension XFree86-DRI missing on display :0.0.
when I try a fglrxinfo)

Solution : Remove the libgl1-mesa-dri package from Beerorkid
repository deb http://www.beerorkid.com/compiz/ dapper main which
breaks the update.

gksu upgrade-manager -c -d should then work.
