[Bug 1770898] Re: Opening a document with an active editor does not show the editor window

2018-05-23 Thread Slavic Dragovtev
It turns out this is only a problem in Wayland sessions and it doesn't
matter how you open the document (nautlius or command line, such as
`gedit doc.txt`) so changed the package.

** Package changed: nautilus (Ubuntu) => wayland (Ubuntu)

How do we improve the visibility of this bug, so that duplicates don't
add up? I myself couldn't find this bug at first, before I reported a
duplicate. Perhaps having more tags in the description would help:
images, email list, emoticon, emoji, etc.?

Public bug reported:

Apparently, some emails make Thunderbird display various images above
the email list. Deleting the email causes the images to disappear,
although not completely: you have to do some scrolling and clicking for
it to be gone. Definitely looks like a bug.

[Bug 1767542] Re: Turning off WiFi enables Airplane mode

2018-05-02 Thread Slavic Dragovtev
I'm not sure what that meant. Could you rephrase? Note that the issue is
that the user turns OFF Wi-Fi, but the system turns ON Airplane mode.

An analogy would be one wants to flush the toilet, but the computer
turns off the lights, instead. Perhaps some of the goals are
accomplished either way, but it's definitely not a good user experience.

[Bug 1767542] Re: Turning off WiFi enables Airplane mode

2018-05-01 Thread Slavic Dragovtev
Yes, this looks more like it. The bug is 13 months old though and still
in "new" status. That's sad.

[Bug 1767536] Re: Accessing the WIFI section of the "Settings" window causes massive freezes

2018-05-01 Thread Slavic Dragovtev
As for the backtrace, will not do it on a production system, as it seems
to require quite a few dbg packages.

2018-05-01 Thread Slavic Dragovtev
As expected, it's gnome-control-center that is eating up the CPU. Note
that 25% equals precisely 100% of one core on my four core processor.

I accidentally changed the status back to new and it won't allow me to

I just found out that the bug is all the way upstream - on php.net. This
means I have to submit a bug with php, not Debian, then, I reckon.

[Bug 1767855] [NEW] php.ini grammar mistake

2018-04-29 Thread Slavic Dragovtev
Public bug reported:

There are a few cases of word mistakes in text like this:

; Defines the probability that the 'garbage collection' process is started
; on every session initialization. The probability is calculated by using
; gc_probability/gc_divisor. Where session.gc_probability is the numerator
; and gc_divisor is the denominator in the equation. Setting this value to 1
; when the session.gc_divisor value is 100 will give you approximately a 1%
chance
; the gc will run on any give request.

Note the last line: "give request" should be "given request".
