[Bug 664248] [NEW] doing insmod 915resolution in grub.d config files confuses grub in not finding windows properly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: 915resolution I am trying to get X resolution correct for my Asus EEE PC T91 (No multitouch) without the binary blobs. I am using the netbook remix of meerkat and I followed the instruction in this page. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportComponentsVideoCardsPoulsboAlternatives Everything works as it is mentioned. However, grub seems to have problem finding windows. (Did i mention i have dual boot). Now if i go back to Ubuntu and undo everything that i did with grub configuration, and if i do sudo update-grub grub was able to find the windows correctly and windows works. ** Affects: 915resolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- doing insmod 915resolution in grub.d config files confuses grub in not finding windows properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/664248 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 35969] Re: Default mouse cursor does not revert when uninstalling Kubuntu
I also have this problem in karmic 9.10. I have been using GDM as the default manager and installed kubuntu-desktop to see KDE 4.3. Logged back in using GDM and my mouse theme was the same that was in kubuntu. Running sudo update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme seems to have fixed the problem. However, I have an additional issue. I see the KDE specific system settings on my GNOME System -- Preferences panel. This was not there before. I don't understand why I am seeing this panel in GNOME. Also, the font preferences I had set using qtconfig-qt4 (ie for Opera browser) seem to be overtaken by the default KDE fonts. The qtconfig-qt4 panel seems to be unchanged but all the fonts in Opera are all changed. Anyone know how to fix this issue? -- Default mouse cursor does not revert when uninstalling Kubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/35969 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 156421] Re: Compiz-Fusion Show-Desktop screen edge binding not working
Using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic). Issue still exists. Setting hot corners in Show Desktop in CCSM does not do anything. The gnome default setting of Ctrl-Alt-D persists as the shorcut. Moving the mouse to the set hot corner does not show desktop. mniess' fix of unchecking 'Integration' in CCSM preferences is the only way to fix this bug. Not sure what other settings are affected by unchecking this option. ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Confirmed ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Assignee: Kjell Braden (afflux) = (unassigned) -- Compiz-Fusion Show-Desktop screen edge binding not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156421 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
