I'm not using ubuntu ;-) just found this report using google. So i can't
test - this must be done by Brendan (lostincynicism).

[Bug 1726519] Re: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at isci_task_abort_task

2017-11-08 Thread Stefan Priebe
Hello,

i'm jumping in having the same problem as brendan. I bisected this
myself. The offending commit is this one:

909657615d9b3ce709be4fd95b9a9e8c8c7c2be6 is the first bad commit
commit 909657615d9b3ce709be4fd95b9a9e8c8c7c2be6
Author: Christoph Hellwig
Date: Thu Apr 6 15:36:32 2017 +0200

scsi: libsas: allow async aborts

We now first try to call ->eh_abort_handler from a work queue, but libsas
was always failing that for no good reason. Allow async aborts.

[Bug 819262] [NEW] ocfs2 reboot causes hang on boot

2011-08-01 Thread Stefan Priebe
Public bug reported:

Hi,

we're using a self compiled version of the Ubuntu 2.6.38-11.47 Kernel
on a debian system, so version_signature is empty.

But this problem occours on various hardware and platforms with this
kernel.

OCFS2 triggers a reboot in case of unrecoverable errors. Sadly this
reboot always causes to hang the whole machine on grub. This does not
happen with a 2.6.32 kernel.
