[Bug 50808] Re: hang after Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel
The boot option acpi=noirq does not help. I added an attachment that show the boot messages just before the hang. ** Attachment added: Boot messages just before the hang. http://librarian.launchpad.net/3150214/boot.jpg -- hang after Uncompressing Linux... [Bug 50808] hang after Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.15-25-686 I'm running kernel 2.6.15-25-686 on a ThinkPad x60s. When the system boots (either after a full halt or hibernation) it hangs for approx. 2mins after displaying the line Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel Then I booted in recovery mode. Now there is more debugging output. (I don't know in which file the messages below can found; hence, I copied them from the screen so there might be some typos.) Begin: Mounting root file system Being: Running /scripts/local-top . some message omitted ACPI: PCI Interrupt :00:1f.2[B] - GSI 16 (level, low) - IRQ 201 = HANG HERE I did not have this problem with kernel linux-image-2.6.15-23-686. This bug may be related to the problems reported by Alex Bligh in Bug #35174. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- hang after Uncompressing Linux... [Bug 35174] Re: ThinkPad X60 cannot Resume from Suspend
I have the same problem that Alex with hangs during bootup (when coming from hibernation but also after normal reboot). I opened a new bug #50808. -- ThinkPad X60 cannot Resume from Suspend https://launchpad.net/bugs/35174 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
