[Bug 1714686] [NEW] package tex-common 6.04 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported: This error occurs every time I update my packages. First occurrence was after updating to 16.04. Maybe it's a duplicate to Bug #653411, but I feel not to be able to decide that. [Bug 445852] Re: devkit-disks-probe-ata-smart causes HSM Violations on SSD, and potential hardware death
Hi, since the update to 14.04.01 I encounter this error on my Thinkpad with a SSD. The systems freezes, and after aprox. 30 sec - 1 min the following messages can be found by using dmesg: ata1.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x7fff SErr 0x5 action 0x6 frozen ata1: SError: { PHYRdyChg CommWake } ata1.00: failed command: WRITE FPDMA QUEUED ata1.00: cmd 61/08:00:b0:06:53/00:00:04:00:00/40 tag 0 ncq 4096 out res 40/00:00:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/00 Emask 0x4 (timeout) ata1.00: status: { DRDY } So, the bug seems to have a revival. [Bug 1322718] [NEW] avidemux command line tool crashs
Public bug reported: Hi, unfortunatelly the command line tool avidemux2_cli from the package avidemux-plugins-cli stopped working on 14.04. [Bug 660273] Re: Xorg freeze
I think that this bug is not nouveau specific as it appears also on my t60 laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon X1400-128MB graphic card. This happens mosty when the system is under heavy load. Sometimes I manage to switch to a console with ALT+STRG+F1 and kill Xorg (with sudo pkill Xorg). It will be restarted automatically, but the session is gone of course. Sometimes it's even not possibly anymore to switch to a console. Then only a hard reset helps. -- Xorg freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/660273 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 524938] Re: Remove binary "opensync-plugin-syncml" from lucid
I agree with the opinion stated in the preceding comment. Currently it's simply impossible to use the long term Ubuntu to sync with a mobile phone. This is a very sad situation. Especially because a lot of "community functions" have been built in, but support for mobile devices has deteriorated. -- Remove binary "opensync-plugin-syncml" from lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/524938 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 524938] Re: Remove binary "opensync-plugin-syncml" from lucid
I think it's a bad solution to mark this bug as fixed by removing functionality which is used by a lot of users. This is not "human" style, because a lot of newbies like me are not able to sync their phones anymore and do not know how to fix this. However @Irihapeti: I'd like to use your solution but don't know how. Would you be so kind to provide a small manual how to accomplish to install the Karmic version? And how to install syncml manually? [Bug 139635] Re: [cryptsetup] library dependency in /sbin/cryptsetup
I'm not sure wheter it's the same problem but after an update to cryptsetup_1.0.5-ubuntu2.1 my order of mounting cryptodisks especially the swap changed. old starting order: mounting of encrypted swap booting mounting of encrypted home current starting order: booting mounting of encrypted swap mounting of encrypted home more details are in my the post: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=676822 The problem is that even a rollback to the old version does not change the mounting order.
