[Bug 1032744] Re: udisksd crashed with SIGSEGV in udisks_daemon_util_check_authorization_sync()

2012-10-10 Thread Stephen Dorman
@pitti

Only got an email for this today but I'll confirm your hunch, it's a
crash report that is generated on login and relates to an error at
shutdown. I'd need to check to see what precisely prompted this report
since that particular behaviour has been common for me on Quantal and,
most often, is related to waking Unity (sidebar or Dash) after a
period of inactivity.

That was my original bug report (thought that was the one but would
rather check than send wrong info). This ceased to be a problem after an
update a few days later. At the time it was entirely to do with trying
to mount the Android device and I'm not aware of generating any other
udisksd crash reports since then.

[Bug 1057930] Re: [Hewlett-Packard Presario V6000 (RY564EA#ABU)] suspend/resume failure

2012-09-28 Thread Stephen Dorman
Thanks for your help and the clear instructions. I've updated to the
more recent kernel and this seems to have fixed it. Tags have been
adjusted accordingly.

Can't actually confirm if it happened in an earlier release. It *may*
have happened in an early release of 12.04 (upgraded from 11.10) and
then been fixed by the first or second kernel update. (However that
doesn't entirely make sense to me so may not be an accurate report and
can be ignored if it doesn't make sense to you).

** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing
** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream

** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
   Status: Incomplete = Confirmed
