[Bug 1883584] Re: MX and NS Sender Access Checks - Unreliable

2020-06-16 Thread Technical Support
The difficulty reproducing this problem is that the commands sometimes
seem to work. I discovered it on a production server that was delivering
mail it shouldn't have - though it correctly rejected other mail from
the same senders.

I'll see what I can do.

[Bug 1883584] Re: MX and NS Sender Access Checks - Unreliable

2020-06-15 Thread Technical Support
Correction. . . .

Host name and IP rules that are unreliable in:

smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_mx_access
smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_ns_access

Appear to be reliable when used in:

smtpd_client_restrictions = check_client_access
smtpd_client_restrictions = check_reverse_client_hostname_access
smtpd_client_restrictions = check_reverse_client_hostname_a_access

Only host name rules appear to be reliable in:

smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_access

IP rules applied to sender A record also appear to behave
inconsistently.

[Bug 1883584] [NEW] MX and NS Sender Access Checks - Unreliable

2020-06-15 Thread Technical Support
Public bug reported:

Postfix 3.4.10-1ubuntu1
Xubuntu 20.04

smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_mx_access
smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_ns_access

Rules - tried hash and regexp - sometimes work, but usually not. Related
to this, mail from nonexistent domains or with missing MX and/or A
records usually, but not always, rejected (despite placement of
reject_unknown_sender_domain or rules in check_sender_mx_access).

The same rules work as expected when applied to the A record using:

smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_access

[Bug 1395271] [NEW] USB 1 and USB 2 scanners fail when connected to USB 3 ports

2014-11-22 Thread Technical Support
Public bug reported:

Plugging a number of USB 1 and USB 2 scanners into the USB 2 port of
various computers works as expected. Moving the scanners to the USB 3
port of the same computers causes the scanners to stop working. The
scanners are recognized by sane-find-scanner, but fail to scan. The
difference appears to be the USB 2 ports using ehci-pci and the USB 3
ports using xhci_hcd.

The problem is becoming more serious as new computers come out with only
USB 3 ports and no option to disable xhci_hcd in the bios.

Is there a workaround or fix for this problem?

[Bug 929956] Re: Ubuntu on HP 2000-410 US laptop doesn't recognize bluetooth or SD slot

2012-02-19 Thread Technical Support
SD card problem was a false alarm. After rebooting, the card works
normally.

The bluetooth problem was confirmed on a total of three 2000-410US
laptop computers - all updated to the most recent bios. Bluetooth worked
normally under Windows 7, but not under Ubuntu.

Strangely, a fourth 2000-410US laptop was able to use Bluetooth
normally.

[Bug 929956] [NEW] Ubuntu on HP 2000-410 US laptop doesn't recognize bluetooth or SD slot

2012-02-09 Thread Technical Support
Public bug reported:

HP 2000-410 US laptop computer running ubuntu-11.10-desktop-i386 with
all updates.

Bluetooth behaves normally except nothing appears when searching for
discoverable devices. Making bluetooth visible, it can't be seen. I
assume there is a problem with drivers. No clue on the HP site. What do
you suggest?
