[Bug 1299400] Re: 046d:c52f [Lenovo G510] Wireless mouse not recognised after reboot
** Description changed: I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 beta 2 64bit with the latest package updates till today, on a lenovo g510 laptop with a Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse. If I reboot my computer with the bluetooth micro-receiver of my mouse plugged in a USB, when it boots it doesn't recognise my mouse. WORKAROUND: Shutdown the laptop and boot it again without unplugging the receiver. The problem solved when I've install latest kernel 3.14.0 rc8 and used boot-repair to access the grub menu as I couldn't before (tried pressing SHIFT, setting grub timeout options). Christopher M. Penalver the only noticeable impact is a delay in the boot process. As you can see in the dmesg file there is a delay of about 3 secs. It's not a great delay, but if you consider that I have an ssd it is noticeable. Suggested work-around copied from sidtj from the same forum as suggested by Daniel ( http://forums.netbeans.org/post-127693.html ). "Append "--laf Metal" (without quotes) to your netbeans exec link. Here i have: Exec=/bin/sh "/home/username/bin/netbeans-7.1/bin/netbeans" --laf Metal This is not the best laf (look and feel) but is better than the current one on 12.04. No more bold in everywhere and visible menu, including in the ambiance theme." These work around fixes bold font issue... [Bug 575333] Re: On boot keeps trying to mount "UDEVD-WORK..../dev/null"
Boatjones, I agree with all your points! This is the reason I'm not telling you to upgrade to 10.10 to solve your problem! I've mentioned the version of my ubuntu and the kernel version, to show you that maybe it's not kernels problem and it's something else that we didn't think about in 10.04. The fact that mdadm worked for me (so far) and didn't for you, points that a change took place in both ubuntu versions, that temporary solved the problem, but after updating kernel's header files this change was undo in 10.04... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575333 Title: On boot keeps trying to mount "UDEVD-WORK/dev/null" -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
