[Bug 976534] Re: Rhythmbox cummulates memory in precise - probably memory leak

2012-05-27 Thread Thomas Boxley
I am experiencing the same problem. I opened up system monitor one day
to find Rhythmbox was using 1.8 GB of RAM. I started pressing the skip
button, and the usage started building up even more, up to 2.3 GB.

[Bug 958699] [NEW] Empathy doesn't open chat windows

2012-03-18 Thread Thomas Boxley
Public bug reported:

Empathy does not open text chat windows when I double click on a
contact's name, or when I right click on their name and select Chat.
This is a major bug that hinderences usage of the program, and I believe
it should be a high priority. I've been experiencing this bug for the
last 5 months. It makes using Empathy completely pointless. Empathy does
not show any feedback in the form of opening a chat window when I've
received a message either.

I believe this bug is linked with other bug reports of not being able to
open the chat window using the Gnome Shell, and only being able to use
the message bubbles.

As others have suggested, I've checked Open new chats in separate
windows and unchecked Display incoming events in the notification
area and Enable bubble notifications in Empathy's preferences.

I'm running Empathy 3.2.0.1 on Oneiric, gnome fallback mode.

[Bug 830724] [NEW] Templates misspelled in different places, as well as other English errors.

2011-08-21 Thread Thomas Boxley
Public bug reported:

The Edit menu for the main menu of alarm-clock says Birthdays
tempaltes when I'm pretty sure it should say Birthdays Templates.
Also, the large text in the Birthdays and templates window says No
tempates found.

I've attached a patch to the alarm-clock.ui file in
/usr/share/alarmclock which fixes these errors, and also fixes a few
other nitpicky things, such as the To add a new template, click on
Add button on the left side of the window., when the Add button is
actually on the right side.

[Bug 572160] Re: big black blotches for tooltips don't fit theme

I agree. This needs to be fixed with the Maverick light themes being
