[Bug 1085440] Re: Suspend does nothing

2012-12-02 Thread Thomas Schüßler
Found out this only happens when a second monitor is connected to HDMI.
If I unplug it, suspend works again when closing the lid.

[Bug 1071722] Re: Mouse cursor duplicated in dual screen setup

2012-12-01 Thread Thomas Schüßler
The problem went away (together with sluggish window movement) after installing
a fresh 12.10 ubuntu.
Before that, I've upgraded from 12.04

[Bug 1085440] [NEW] Suspend does nothing

2012-12-01 Thread Thomas Schüßler
Public bug reported:

After a fresh 12.10 install suspend isn't working when I close the lid or
select suspend from the shutdown menu.
sudo pm-suspend works though and system resumes when I open the lid.

I think I've found the problem.. at least for my setup.
I disabled Hardware Acceleration in Firefox (8).
No slowdowns for 8 hours now.

[Bug 764330] Re: Move window annoying slow with compiz

2011-12-07 Thread Thomas Schüßler
I'm also affected.
Slow scrolling, sluggish window movement.

What I noticed is that when I close all Gecko applications
(Firefox/Thunderbird/KomodoIDE) everything is snappy again!
After reopening those apps everything starts slowing down again (over hours).

My system:
   Linux Mint 11 (Ubuntu 11.04) 64bit
   Nvidia 8600M GT
   NVIDIA Driver Version: 290.10
