[Bug 1357880] [NEW] /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/dhclient needs updated regex

2014-08-17 Thread Thorsten Rhau
Public bug reported:

The regex on line 12 in /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/dhclient needs
updating since it does not match the current output from dhclient

The current line (12) as included in version 1.3.16 of logcheck-database looks
like this:
^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ dhclient(-2.2.x)?: DHCP(REQUEST|RELEASE) (of
[.0-9]{7,15} )?on [[:alnum:].-]+ to [.0-9]{7,15} port 67$

The line should look something like this is order to match the current outpt
format of dhclient:
 ^\w{3} [ :0-9]{11} [._[:alnum:]-]+ dhclient(-2.2.x)?(\[[[:digit:]]+\])?:
DHCP(REQUEST|RELEASE) (of [.0-9]{7,15} )?on [[:alnum:].]+ to [.0-9]{7,15} por
 t 67( \(xid=0x[0-9a-f]+\))?$

This has been observed on a fresh install of ubuntu server 14.04.1 (no upgrades
from previous versions).

Procedure to reproduce:
- Install system that has at least one interface running dhcpclient
- Wait for dhclient to request or renew it's ip lease
- Wait for logwatch to run and send out its notification

2009-03-30 Thread Thorsten Rhau
Just upgraded to version 0.9.7-0ubuntu1 of notify-osd via aptitude. The
problem is still there, sorry.

I performed the upgrade by issuing the following

So the system should be fully up to date. I am using the SE mirror.

[Bug 345770] Re: notify-osd crashed with SIGSEGV in ___fprintf_chk()

2009-03-26 Thread Thorsten Rhau
I am also getting this problem. I have checked the permissions of the
log file in my .cache directory and the file is owned by my user. I have
also tried to remove the log file. This does not solve the problem.

The program that causes this crash on my system (asus eee 1000h) is "Eee
PC ACPI Settings". Please find additional version information about this
program in the attached picture.

Hope this helps, thanks for the great work with ubuntu.

[Bug 196027] [NEW] 2.6.24-10 linux-restricted-modules missing

2008-02-26 Thread Thorsten Rhau
Public bug reported:

Did a "aptitude update" followed by a "aptitude safe-upgrade" this
morning and got the 2.6.24-10 kernel installed.

After a reboot my X was broken. I use the nvidia-glx-new 169.09 and
nvidia-kernel-common 20051028+1ubuntu8 packages.

It seems like if the linux-restricted-modules are missing for the
2.6.24-10 kernel. When i try to install the linux-restricted-modules
version 2.6.24.10.8 i get the following error:

linux-restricted-modules:
Depends: linux-restricted-modules-generic but it is not going to be installed

Thanks for the good work with Ubuntu.
