I didn't backtrace, because when running any other way, It works. I tried just typing nautilus, and it runs as a seperate process, not in the prompt. I tried sudo nautilus to get superuser access, and it doesn't run as a seperate process and I can access root. Thinking Maybe it allowed it to fix whatever the problem was, I ran nautilus normally, and it still freezes. I'm using Ubuntu 6.06, using all current possible updates as of 10/6/06. There is no error messages when running normaly. I'm currently on windows so I cannot check this at the moment, I will report any command line errors when I am on my Ubuntu partition.
